Well - that's great for Donald. In honor of this occasion, I'd like to point out that you should've used "were" instead of "was" and a period instead of a comma. If you're pointing out an academic honor bestowed upon a student of our alma mater, it's the one time you should concentrate on how you lead into a link to the story. Otherwise, it just makes everyone look like they was just a bunch of dubmasses.

MSU senior Donald M. Brown from Vicksburg was awarded the Rhodes Scholarship. I know people was talking about this a few days ago, looks like he actually won it.
1 of 32 total awarded

Congrats to Donald - a very prestigious honor for him, our university, and OUR State.

Little known fact: The Rhodes Scholarship was founded by Mississippi State basketball stand-out Charles Rhodes in 1888. True Story.

Honest question, are engineers and other science related majors considered much

for Rhodes Scollies or is it more a liberal arts type of thing. I could look it up but I know you know.

It does appear that the scholarships are tilted toward the Ivy and

liberal arts schools. MIT & Cal Tech have less than 50 between them and Harvard & Yale have over 500. Money & power does influence greatly, my friend.

We can be more specific. Vicksburg *High School* has smarts.

Seriously, that's great news for the guy and for Mississippi.

The fact that Ole Miss has successfully taken 25 of our nation's brightest young men/women and turned them into ******** is nothing to be proud of

I don't want to call the man a dumbass, so I can only assume (hope) "literally police" was joking about the scholarship being started by the msu basketball player from 1888.

Hope? Let me tell you something, my friend. Hope is a dangerous thing. Hope can drive a man insane. It's got no use on the inside. You'd better get used to that idea.
