Mt Airy at WS Prep....Radio/'Net Broadcast

Will be a challenge playing on limited practice time. Prep and Walkertown was a lot closer than I expected. I predict a close game
Nothing fishy about it.
Prep has a stable of good backs, one of whom is an absolute stud (or was made to look like it tonight anyway) and a huge (for 1A) offensive line for them to run behind. Combine that with Bishop's complete inability to tackle and that's where the 72 came from.
On the other side, Prep's DB's were really undersized and they REALLY struggled against Bishop's big, talented WR's, so Bishop threw all over them, leading to the 65.

Actually, what happened was Bishop and Prep got together and paid Baylor and TCU to send their kids to Winston-Salem tonight to play the game in the Bishop/Prep uniforms. I was wondering why the Bishop QB's name was changed at the last minute to Bevonne Troykin.

And WSP wins the conference and Bishop comes in 2nd .... LOL I didn't want to say they both had a sorry defense . Where has al this offense been till tonight ? I may be wrong but if they do that to Mount Airy & East Surry it will make a believer out of me.
How many 3's did they hit and what was the free throw %!! Would have loved to seen that one.
Hard to imagine BM throwing the ball that much. Years past they were lucky to throw it 5 times a game. Will make them a much more versatile team but then again they did lose to N Stokes. Bet it was an exciting game to watch.
According to the Journal Bishop was on sides kicking after scores and going for it on 4th downs because they could not stop Prep. Prep want score 2 touchdowns on the Bears mark it down.
McGuinness throws the ball most of the time this year. That is partly because they have a decent passing game but no speed to run the ball or stop anyone with speed. Mt. Airy will have no problem with WS Prep this year. They might even shut them out or at least hold them to single digits. However, if their JV beat Mt. Airy, and their varsity skill players, according to article I read in Winston-Salem Journal, are mostly 9th and 10th graders, I would not want to play WS Prep in a year or two. It might be just like basketball.
