does this strike anybody else in a "I'm trying to get the Dan Mullen name out there" kind of way? For those of you watching, is he promoting himself or MSU?

I don't remember guys like Schiano doing things like this. Let the crucifixion of me begin.

I was thinking the same thing. But it also may have been espn's way of talking more about favre and tebow, as if they needed to invent new ways of doing that.

I would be doing the same thing. He's trying to take every opportunity to better himself and in the meantime he gives MSU some great publicity as well.

Dan Mullen wants to be a known personality in the college football world. But I don't see that as a negative to us. Mullen is already well known enough that if he's successful at MSU he will get plenty of opportunities to move on if that's what he really desires to do. I don't believe his radio and TV appearances will affect that much. The biggest thing to me is that HS football players watch this stuff and seeing Mullen on there can only help us with them for as long as Mullen is ours (which I hope is quite a while).

Our fans need to get the <17> over it and realize that the Templeton days are gone. We won't win every game, but at least we're trying and giving ourself a chance now. Of course this publicity is good for Dan Mullen. It's also good for MSU. And what's good for MSU is good. Period.
