in this situation.

Thank you Mullen.

ETS: This wasn't a compliment to Crxxms or a swipe at Mullen. I meant that I could see Crxxms dropping the hammer (multiple game suspension possibly) and all types of chatter about how character is so important. I like what Mullen is doing: handling the situation with the football program in mind and do it in a tasteful way. I think Crxxms would have screwed this up (by doing so also screwing up our rb situation) because he would have to maintain his image of being the "high road" type of guy.

but...I think he did something similar with the beatdown crew in Columbus. At this point Mullen can do no wrong and Croom never did any right.

Considering Croom only suspended the backup QB (Riddell) for one game for a DUI, I seriously doubt he would have given Anthony Dixon a multiple game suspension.

once you realize that you will be much better off. he would have done as little as possible just like every other coach out there. just as vegasdawg pointed out, Riddell only got a game suspension for the same thing. AD might have gotten even less.

the only difference i can see is that croom would have thrown AD under the bus in the press but the disciplinary actions would likely have been the same. croom was all about perception and nothing about reality.</p>

Croom's "discipline" seemed to depend on whether the player happened to be his recruit or not. During the first two years, he threw the JWS recruits under the bus and then backed up a couple times. Later on down the road, he suddenly found a different way of handling things.

That said, this was reason #1,354 that Croom was a hypocritical and worthless twit.

as much as what kind of trouble he got into. Crxxm never suspended any of Jackie's recruits for breaking any law except for felonies in which cases he really had no other choice. Crxxm was big on discipline on the field (and in the practice field and conditioning workouts). He didn't give a **** at all about whether players got arrested.

Where else but Starkville, MS would our "wonderful" police force arrest the best player on our team? Most college towns understand their programs need to succeed and can't do so without real players... I mean I know they were doing what they'd glad do to me and anyone else that posts on here, but lets be serious this is our star RB.

May be Mullen should start a Designated Dawg Driver for the players bc its evident they pop champagne like the won a championship game....
