i completely disagree. they want as much space between them and anyone associate with the current mess as possible. even tom bradley who is a hell of a D coordinator and hasn't been implicated in any of this has been on the penn st staff for 33 years. do you really want to hire a guy and hear how he should have known or wonder why he didn't know? or worse, to have something subsequently come out linking him to the molestation or cover up?RebelBruiser said:I honestly think if I'm Penn State, I hire from within and do an interim coach in 2012, choosing to postpone the replacement of Paterno a year to let the scandal fire settle itself first.
Ha ha ha says the SEC, aiming for its sixth straight BCS title.RebelBruiser said:Usually you want to be the guy that follows the guy that follows the legend, especially with the issue they have going on at PSU at a much higher level.

That said, on paper, the PSU job is one of the best in the country. The state of Pennsylvania is loaded with high school football talent, and they, in general, all want to go to PSU. Paterno has been there almost literally forever, so it's hard to say how they'd do under a different coach, but I do think it would be a job that would be very desirable for candidates once the fire from this scandal dies down some.
Of course they've never been caught. If you can hide raping children for 15 years, you can hide paying a kid to go to your school with ease.patdog said:That refers to control over the process of complying with NCAA rules. And nothing that happened at Penn State was against any NCAA rules. At least none of this was. I have no doubt that Penn State cheats to some degree even though they've never been caught.
