At some point or another, a defender is not going to bite on the trick and blind side the QB walking the ball. I'll feel bad for the injured kid, but his coach will need his *** beat for calling such horse ****.

These are terrible plays to call - especially in junior leagues. Those kids don't know what the hell is going on. Bush league.

should have been a dead giveaway that something was up. I could see how that would work in Jr. high ball, but not so sure about SEC ball.

I mean, how often do you see a center just hand the ball to the QB and how often do you see a QB just walking around with the ball like that after everyone has lined up?

I would hope that by college most of the guys would realize that the official has to blow the play dead before they bring in another ball.

I want the bounce pass, the lateral pass where it is bounced off the ground to a receiver, making it look like it a dead ball but no whistle is blown

Great idea - bounce an egg shaped object and hope it ends up where it was intended.

Hey, he thought he could score on it, and hell, I can't really argue with that. (Yes, I know that wasn't how the play was supposed to go)

Honestly, I never saw the LSU/Florida highlights b/c I was out of town. I just now watched a replay of that play. Besides it being forward pass, it pisses me off that they even executed that play and ultimately won. How the hell can you expect somebody to toss a backwards over their head, bounce off the ground, and into a position for your kicker to field it and run? So insane that only the grass-eater could have faith in something like that...

If Mullen ever instructs Relf to do that, he should be kicked in the nuts.

They reviewed it and the replay was shown on TV umpteen times. It was easy to see b/c the ball was placed for the kick on one of the solid white line yard markers. After the over the head toss, the ball bounced right on the same solid white line yard marker.

Secondly, the play is not designed to be a bounce pass. LSU has actually run that play before this year. Like I said, it wasn't designed to be a bounce pass though, the holder just shorted the toss.

It really has nothing to do with Miles having faith in a bounce pass play. The play is actually quite clever & it has worked both times it was run. It was just that the second time involved a stroke of pure luck that is the epitome of LSU's luck this season in crazy situations.

My only point was that bouncing a football is not high on the list of intelligent football decisions. Only a dumb *** or a severe underdog would design a play that involved putting the ball on the ground.

Needed a quick 2 at the end of the game so we set up like we were about to run a play. Key was to act like there was confusion and then our best shooter told the player on the baseline that he was out of position and should not be inbounding the ball. Said best shooter walked forward while pointing at the fake position on the floor and got an uncontested shot under the goal when he walked right past the defender.
