I am about as tired of this BS, as all of you are of C34 and myself bashing Stans...
Why is it so hard to believe that he is happy in S-Vegas?
I really believe that there is a Black Bear conspiracy within the local media causing all this speculation..

But until he comes out and says he will not go to PSU, and that isn't gonna happen, I don't buy much into his statements. Meyer played this same game two weeks ago, funny thing is he is coaching at ohio state next season. I don't think much should be read on either side of the argument, it is Mullen doing Mullen's job.

I highly doubt that a guy who works for the Penn State rivals site is part of a "black bear conspiracy" is what I'm saying.
none of this stuff will likely go away until Penn State officially makes a hire. I guess Mullen could publicly pull his name out of consideration but given how things went last year with Florida and Miami I don't expect him to do that.
I mean, that's a seriously stupid move. We spend a lot of money trying to get people talking about Mississippi State, but now we are getting it for free. Oh yeah, he's so sick of being asked about this (wink, wink).
From a personal level, why burn any bridge. I have a good job and I like my employer. But do you think there is any way in hell I'm going to announce that I'm staying there no matter what? Hells no! In fact, there are times when I take little mini-vacations of a couple of days (usually to play some new video game or something) and my boss kind of freaks out thinking I may be interviewing. I don't bother to clear that little misconception up. I think it's a good thing for them to worry about.
Mullen was catching a little heat for the 6 and 6 year before all the coaching **** started. Not hearing about that now are you? Now people are talking about how do we keep him and how much of a raise would we be willing to give. Yeah, that sounds like something I would want to stop if I were him.

to people who can translate coach speak. maybe he isn't going anywhere, and if not, fine. But to answer your question about the 6 and 6 record, the only people not talking about it are state fans. Everyone else wonders why the 17 PSU would even want a guy who went...wait for it...6 and 6.
The coaching search BS makes up all a little crazy. If he ends up at PSU next year I'm going to look like the idiot.
