— If you’re wondering, Mullen apparently did hear the loud
boos emanating from the crowd late in MSU’s 26-20 overtime win against
Louisiana Tech on Saturday night
.

“I was pretty frustrated at times during the game, too,”
Mullen said. “So they probably were using more polite words than we
were. We’re working, trying to get better as a football team and as a
program. It’s good that our fans have high expectations. They want to
win football games, too. And we did.”

I do disagree that his words were less polite than what many of the fans were saying. I have a pretty good idea we were saying the exact same things as him.

I highly doubt he could have said much worse than what I was saying Saturday night about the calls. It does make me feel a little better that it is something that he has taken notice of and will hopefully fix. So we shall see.

He makes no excuses, mans up, and expects his coaches and players to do the same. He will make some mistakes and so will his staff.

If we can get recruiting into gear we are setting up for a good long run. Right now we are having to wait for people to develop which puts us in bad shape if injuries happen (like now). That's the only area where I think we are lacking at this point.
