I think talent eval and development are ever important in today's age when you are a have not. However you also can't take 3 years to play someone and develop then that long. Some you can but a lot will jump if they should be playing over a senior

IRRC the reason they claimed she stayed in Nashville was for their daughter to be part of competitive cheerleading. Also, I think she stayed in Nashville after the Sirmon/Grantham DC swap when he went to Louisville.
