and lets see what they say in 2010 and 2011. i mean after all nutt's class this yr was higher ranked than the one croom brought in. mullen did hang onto it though so i guess he gets some credit. all these predictions about "next year" are just traditional state things.
You may be to young or dumb to realize, but that's a traditional Mississippi thing. This "next year" was suppossed to be the year that Ole Miss finally went to Atlanta. Instead, they imploded, although at least they are riding an easy schedule to a New Year's day bowl and seem to not be not total basket cases now like they were earlier in the season. Next year will be the year that Ole Miss finally sheds its associations with the Klan and segregation.
There was no this "next year" for state, as everybody knew Croom had screwed this team for the foreseeable future. I'm actually shocked that we're going to have a "next year" next year, as I thought it would take a minimum of two seasons to field the beginnings of an SEC team considering Croom left us the TTM at qb and what looked like a joke of an OL.
Me, I'm a next next year guy. I think people are still underestimating the difficulty of our schedule next year, the ability to find a qb for next year, and how hard it will be to replace Dixon, but next next year, we're going to be 17'ing awesome.
