With your OOC schedule, there is no reason in hell your record shouldn't be better. But your make the assertion that because your record is better, you haven't missed Wallace or Oher, which completely false.

You realize that if we played your OOC schedule, we'd be 6-5? And we have no passing game.

you are also playing a more favorable schedule and are averaging a touchdown less per conference game at this point.

If you played at LSU, Bama, Florida and Arkansas this year, you may be sitting at 3-4, possibly 2-5. You didn't play a quality OOC either like you did last year.

Everyone said your schedule was great from the outset.

And no one thought you were going to completely collapse. People just felt like those losses would keep you out of the SEC CG hunt. And they did.

If I thought ya'll were near as good as last year, I wouldn't show up Saturday. But i'll be there.

do you not see the stupidity in his post?

Of course you have a good record this year, but it's not because other players stepped up. You returned the majority of your team and had a joke of a schedule. The point MSU fans made pre-season is that you wouldn't win the West or go 11-1 like your delusional fan base predicted because you were losing Oher, Wallace, and P. Jerry. And guess what, we were right. You are going to finish the year with at least 3 conference losses. And after this season, you are losing a lot more than 3 players.

The fact is that Snead should be returning with Brandon Bolden, Enrique Davis, Jesse Grandy, and Rodney Scott all available to run the ball. I didn't even mention Tim Simon or Korvic Neat, who were both redshirts.

Losing Hodge hurts, but Patterson, Breaux, and Summers have all seen serious time this season.

The drop off isn't going to be as big as you think....

Actually you did...in BOTH of your posts. Saying "I didn't even mention X" IS 17'ing mentioning them you douchebag.

And as far as Patterson goes...yeah, I saw that one block he threw this year. Dynamite stuff.

because you lose a boatload of guys.

Also weren't y'all supposed to contend for the SECW this year? Not get eliminated in week 9.

And yet every year you guys act like our entire football program will go down the tubes due to the seniors we're losing. Our team isn't better than last year, but we are on the verge of another NYD bowl game. Sure we'll miss some of the guys we're going to lose but that doesn't mean that we won't replace them with guys who will develop into good players.

Dixon is your entire offense and you're losing him at the end of the season (this week). Do you think that Mullen may as well shut it down?

point in the year, I think we are as good as we were last year. We just beat a top 10 team. The week before that we laid waste to one of the best defenses in the country. Players have stepped up to make us formidable. We haven't lost a game in November since Nutt has been here. A few weeks ago everyone here was saying "IF we had Ole Miss' schedule, we'd have the same record as them!" Well, after crushing UT, beating LSU, and ya'll falling to Arkansas the argument has changed to "If we had your non-conference schedule, we'd be bowling!" There are too many variables in that argument. The only thing that matters is the record. It's the only fact we have to go on.

I don't know who you sat around in the Grove with on Saturday to conjure up this ludicrous theory, but its ridiculous.

Your passing game is just a step above ours. That's a huge difference from last year.

And LSU and TN are average. You can spout LSU's ranking all you want, but they haven't beaten a ranked team. They are very average.

You are not as good as you were last year. Give it up.

if you think you are as good as last year, you need to watch WAY more football. Last year's team would be this one by 2 TDs, maybe more.

Did OP4 really just say that Nutt's class last year was better than any Orgeron ever brought in???? What???
Have any of the OM freshmen proven anything?
Orgeron is a guy that brought in Hardy, Tillman, Oher, the Jerry's, Powe, Snead, McCluster, Wallace, Hodge, Cornell, Walker, Lewis, Green, Locket, Laurent, ect, ect, ect... O brought in loads of NFL caliber players and difference makers. He brought in ALL of what has made you guys good the last two years, most importantly the DL and a few stud OL. It's hard to recruit and develop enough linemen to be really good in our state, and make no mistake, the DL is the difference in OM being good and average. Once all those linemen leave on both sides of the ball, OM will go back to being mediocre.

You might want to take it off and get a breathe of fresh air. The reason you have a better record than last year is because of how much easier your schedule is. This years team would not have been in the Cotton Bowl last year

You beat a team ranked in the top ten. Not a top ten team. And if you haven't been paying attention, we have lots of facts other than the record. For example, we have the schedule.

Ole Miss is a flawed but still pretty decent, maybe even good team. That still qualifies this team as a good ole miss team (as it would be a good MSU team). But a New Year's Day game is only on the table b/c this is a weird year for the SEC. Only two legit teams, then a lot of flawed teams that play anywhere from bad to pretty good.

Nothing to get your panties in a wad over. You should be thankful that you'll likely get to go to a good bowl with a team that would normally be headed to the music city bowl or independence bowl playing the way it has.

That one, just like every MSU win, doesn't count due to (insert excuse here). O handed you the game, our team wasn't any good and wasn't interested in being there, no Romaro, Eli was young, Eugene Clinton illegally kicked the ball in the air..... If there's anything you've learned in the past 2 decades it's that MSU never gets bragging rights after a win. The Rebs can 15-14 or a 45-0 it till they are blue in the face, but throw back a 30-6 or a 35-14 and the excuses flow like whiskey at a Kla....err tailgate in the Grove.

Like I said earlier, they are the king of double standards.

Correction: The Grand Wizard of double standards.

I think MSU is better than Ole Miss in just about every category. If my team kicks another team's *** I could care less the excuses.

Lets consider the "future", since the immediate future right now is yall vs. us on Saturday. The future is now, and on Saturday, Ole Miss is gonna whip your "present" players with our "present" players. Who gives a damn what players are playing next year for which team.

Geez, got a bunch of nimwitz here..........Hello, game on Saturday??!! HELLO?? Who gives a damn what players play next year!! Is that all the state fans have to look forward too, being what players Ole Miss are losing this year??????????

45 - 0. I don't think MSU will ever beat Ole Miss this bad.....ever. Not in anybody's lifetime who are posting on this board.

The worse beatdown of MSU in present Egg Bowl history.

Anyone who thinks Ole Miss is going to "whip" anybody on Saturday obviously hasnt watched much football this year. We may lose, but I doubt the rebs will be whipping anyone this weekend..

45-0 was a beat down. Fact.
At halftime I was drinking whiskey in the Grove and having a good time. Fact.

Many happy returns was OM/Ogeron snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Fact.
At halftime you were probably being the obnoxious prick you are. At the end of the game you were scurrying out of Davis Wade to the sound of deafening cowbells wishing you were back in Hell. I.....was having a GREAT time drinking whiskey in the Junction. Fact.

insist on this unfounded belief that the 45-0 loss last year was some kind of awful loss that mad State fans cry themselves to sleep and tuck their tails between their legs? While I won't say that I got any enjoyment from it, it wasn't nearly as bad as OM fans wish it was. All but the most homerish of State fans knew that there was a good chance of a loss going into the game. Also, most of us knew that that loss spelled the end for Crooms, which did make us happy. The OM fans that still bring it up only do it because they think that it still bothers us. Every time I see 45-0 in a post by an OM fan, I can only shake my head at the patheticness.

and lets see what they say in 2010 and 2011. i mean after all nutt's class this yr was higher ranked than the one croom brought in. mullen did hang onto it though so i guess he gets some credit. all these predictions about "next year" are just traditional state things.

Wow, sure was. A whole, what, 1? 2 spots? Consider the key word in that phrase as well: "Croom"

Per Rivals, our average star rating was 3.15, while y'alls was 3.11. I'm assuming you're a dubmass so here's what that means: our class PER PLAYER was rated higher than yours. The reason that y'alls class was rated ahead was cause yall signed damn near 40 people.

Dammit, I have to stop now. I feel like I'm on the Spirit/Genespage free board.

I have a strong suspicion that things are going to even out over the next 2 years. You Reb fans are some loud-mouthed jackasses while you're winning. When things turn around in the other direction, you will be nowhere to be found.
