Wait...so he would prefer to do such a ****** job that people would be talking about firing him?
There's a novel approach.

I'm trying to be realistic. I didn't think he'd actually address the rumor.<div>Coach Mullen took a program in shambles, and in 3 years, has it bowling for the second straight year. Of course his name is going to be mentioned with openings at "big name" schools - that's how it works.</div>

The whole quote:

“I think it’s great for the program,” he said. “… There are two rumors about you: either rumors you’re going somewhere or rumors you’re getting fired. So, I’ll take the going-somewhere rumor better than the getting-fired rumor.”

going to be making him an offer. They are in the process of getting it together now. I would expect him to accept it.<div>
</div><div>We are in a good spot it appears. If he decides to stay I am ok with that and if he decides to leave then we have a good replacement waiting in the wings. How often have we been in this kind of shape in the past? Never.....</div>

If Mullen leaves we are 17ed. You can forget sold out stadiums. This program will lose all momentum. He is the fire that keeps it going. Don't kid yourselves. Without him, we go right back to the Croom days. Our program would be right back in the crapper. My season tickets would become available.

..now that it seems like that may happen, you are crying over the loss of your New Hampshire daddy figure.

Please make up your mind.

our fanbase has been ready to enthusiastcally support somebody/anybody for years. Mullen is a decent coach and poor recruiter who was in the right place at the right time and will probably parlay his short lived success (it will be because of his ****** recruiting) into a much bigger gig . He`d be a fool not to.</p>
