I want to buy it, but think it all comes down to how Tobias comes back from his injury. Also, hope to see Siddoway step up and learn the system. If I remember correctly Mullen said he struggled in the spring. Hopefully, he is getting morefamiliarwith our system and the other guys on the line.

It won't be a great one, but it'll be a lot better than last year. </p>

Mullen basically said he had to learn how we practice and the terminology we use. You can coach that. He also mentioned he has gone from 280 when he got here in Jan to 305 now. I don't know how much he plays but I think he at least provides needed depth. Mullen also had good things to say about Justin Malone. Eager to see how he performs.

because we have better numbers. Better numbers mean a better chance of finding capable players. Some folks are reporting that the tackle situation may shake out in a way that is a little surprising.

Last year's O-Line was tough to watch. They became serviceable but not good. Thus, I would expect that this year's O-line can't help but look more consistent compared to last year. The depth will help, but I think the cat and mouse comments about the tackles is really about fostering competition, making those guys compete hard for the job. He knows we need good tackle play to protect the passing game so he's pushing them harder to compete for a job so they get better. They need to have a good camp and competition will help all of the guys be better. I agree that the O-line is always a tough one to recruit and judge who's going to be players. Guys dominate in high school because of size, but they have to develop their foot work and hand work and master schemes at the college level. Some never make that adjustment.

..a healthy SEC OL always looks good. (Unless you are a bottomed-out program like Ole Miss).

Ever last year, if the OL would have remained healthy, it would have been a pretty good OL.

The MSU OL gets hit by a rash of injuries & suddenly everybody is questioning talent level.

There are only about 8 college football programs in America that can suffer extensive injury on the OL & not suffer a fall off in talent level. And you might not like hearing this, but Miss. State is not one of those 8.
