Mullen to fans/students: "Don't pat the team on the back."

He is just as culpable as the players for tonight's performance. No excuse for having to sweat out a win against a crappy C-USA team that lost to Florida Atlantic at home earlier this season.
wrong...just got a taste of winning and playing good football, which we did not do tonight. still a win and time to move on but dealing with bad losses is a result of success, you have to take the bad with the good. if you think this is bad you haven't seen ****...i offer up ohio state and USC as examples, LSU and UF notwithstanding.
I know some of you would follow Dan to the bathroom and lick the piss off his balls, but he's not above mistakes. Tonight we played like **** for 95% of the game. Yes we won thanks to our backup field goal kicker, but we should have blown out UAB. They suck. They lost to Florida Atlantic for Christ's sake. Everyone screamed and hollered when Croom won an ugly game, so why is everyone who is questioning our coach called a horrible fan after tonights ugly win?
Croom never won all his non-conference games. We just finished a run of 5 straight wins. We won the at UF for the first time since 1965 last year against Mullen's old team. Our O score 29 points and had 378 total yards and no turnovers.<div>

I Cant stand half of our fans. Blame the close win on the players tonight. I believe Dan had them ready they just didn't respond. Too many stupid penalties. Coach mullen ( not mullens) is the beat coach we've had since the kang. Possibly the best coaching staff. Blame the players once in a while, I am

Some of you guys evidently think because we have won some games for a change that we are suddenly on the level with the upper tier teams like Alabama, Oregon, etc. We have made good strides in the right direction but this won't be our last step backwards this season. We are just trying to turn the curve back towards a respectable program again so a little perspective might be in order.
I just find it refreshing that our head coach would say that, and what he said at halftime. It goes along with "this wasn't an upset" about UF last week. The non-defeatist attitude is incredible after Croom.
