Students,

First of all, THANK YOU for all of your support last weekend. The volume and
intensity coming from our students really was a difference maker. Our fans and
the environment were fantastic, and our players fed off that and they were a big
part in the game against LSU.

This weekend we have another top-25 team coming to Davis Wade Stadium and we're
going to need your help again. It's a night game and the weather should be
great, so the enthusiasm and excitement should be off the charts!!

We need each and every one of you to get the job done, and hopefully we'll make
all of you proud. So stay in town and start your Fall Break on Sunday (you'll
have three days to get your voices back after you yell for us all night Saturday!).

Thank you, and Go Dawgs!!

Dan Mullen

I was thinking about this earlier today after a friend of mine told me all of her friends are going home for fall break... Dan seems to be worried about it too... Now, I would be at a game even if it was on the same day as the apocalypse but why the hell would you ENCOURAGE students to go home on a weekend of a home football game... I know you are thinking <17> them they aren't real fans if they don't show up.... But it still will look bad if we fill up the student section...

i dont understand why they put fall break the mon and tuesday after a home game to begin with. it should either be next thursday and friday, or next mon and tues when there is an away game. the athletic department needs to get with the university and schedule things better. ill be surprised if attendance breaks 50000 this week

posted at the same time as topdawg, and he reminded me that the schedule got moved around, so maybe it was thought out to begin with

to all of the redneck hunters who would rather go sit in the woods and possibly shoot something than go support their Alma Mater on a Saturday afternoon. Don't get me wrong, I have many friends that hunt, but 17! Go support your damn team for 17's sake!! You can kill **** Sunday-Friday.

A week in Thanksgiving would be great. I enjoy the Fall break since its nice to have a holiday spaced out here and there but a whole week off for Thanksgiving would be the tits.

because I've talked to quite a few girls who said they're leaving saturday. I'm personally leaving Sunday, but why anyone would miss a home game against a top 25 team confuses me. I've been tryin to convince people to leave Sunday instead but some people are just dumbasses and there's nothing we can do. It will look bad if the student section isn't full.

Sketchy is good way to describe those times. Maybe because there were fewer chicks in town, there was less reason to be on your best behavior. I think we got arrested for stealing pumpkins one fall break.

For me College Town = Hometown.

You are right though, the weekends that everyone went home ended up being some of the most fun nights of college
