Very much so I wouldn't doubt it. I am not a fan of that stuff due to being raised old school but sometimes where you have dire situations like that ahead I'd consider it.

Hopefully if the game does happen South will do something to make it worthwhile for the kids; tour bus and hotel? 400 miles is a killer haul. That's what I'd try anyways.

Not sure when the opted out date is, but they had to know they were probably in for a long ride. Surely they will charter. Took a 3 hour bus ride last Saturday up the mountain, that was almost too long.

My guess is that they weren't expecting a bad draw or someone to pull out and it bit them in the butt.

Hopefully they will get a nice bus in the least if they play. :)

Has anyone heard what the contingency plan is in case the air quality is still poor at some of the mountain schools? Who out that way is affected by the smoke?

Everywhere is affected. Asheville to Murphy is a blanket of smoke. Will be very interesting what will happen with no rain in sight

How in the world can a team that won their conference be on the road in the second round to a team that finished fifth in the same conference? There must be some idiots running the HS League.

You talking about the same ones that gave you that paper championship you all keep trying to hoist?

Enough is enough of the crying. Play ball for once. All you all have done is try to complain your way to a conf championship. No system is perfect and the state has tried to do the best they can. Don't lose to Cherryville and this won't be the case.

If you're the conf champions (home or away) you shouldn't have no problem with the "5th place team" in your conf RIGHT?? Do the same thing that beat that 5th place team the first.

The NCHSL is oblivious to common sense. Who's ur team Gunz? They didn't give TJ nothing. when you play ineligible players you forfeit. Its also not counting the players that didn't make an address change to be eligible to play. maybe you need to brush up on your knowledge there smokey.

Brush up on my knowledge? That's not knowledge you spoke that was slander. There was no player ineligible because of a address. Please show me where that was found??

Please let's stick with facts when dealing with serious infractions.

Please don't miss lead like that player made a difference in the out come of that game. If all works out maybe you all will see that #5 ranked team in the conference. Sure would be shamed for the #5 ranked team in your conference to beat the conference champs.

Oh and I was at the TJ and MICS game. MICS played awful and still hung 31 on you all.

Wow lol. Whoever makes it to the Eastern Final on the bottom half of the bracket will be in full a hand full. Looking to see a great Plymouth/N. Edgecombe matchup if all plays out. Big question is if Murphy and Mitchell meet, who advances???

Plymouth and North Edgecombe would be the East semifinal if seeds hold. I'm thinking Murphy host Mitchell in the West final and a rematch of last years East final with Southside at Plymouth.

Deana maybe you know the answer to this. If two number 1's meet like Plymouth and Southeast Halifax or Murphy and North Duplin who would be the home team? I'm guessing best record, but knowing the NCHSAA, it's not necessarily so. Also is it the same for say two number 4 seeds meeting? Thanks for any answer you can give me.
