I think pretty much every coach should get a pass their first year so long as they don't lose to Maine.

A lot of people think that this is why Urban Meyer got out of Florida when he did though- I think he saw this coming.

They lost to ULM that year. I think they were openly saying they wouldn't take an Independence Bowl invite if they got one and the joke was something like "it's because you have to get through Monroe to get to Shreveport."
