No Ohio State. No Michigan State. No Michigan. No Penn State. No Rutgers (yes, I said it). Until the B1G CG, that is.

They picked a good year to be good.

Agreed - they have a realistic shot at going 12-0 and playing UMich (yup, I said UMich and not OSU) in the B1G championship game.

As I say this, I truly believe a team like Baylor would beat them by 30 points. I'm just not impressed so far by anything I'm seeing as they're beating up on NW. I'm not sure if I'd put up a fight if an undefeated Iowa was left out of the playoffs (if other teams were undefeated too).

I hear what you're saying, but if they go undefeated, including a win in the B1G championship game, I think they would deserve strong consideration. That said, I don't see that happening - B1G East is going to win the B1G championship game.

I think I wrote the post before realizing they'd have to win the championship game to be considered undefeated (don't ask, long day, haha). Yes, if they go undefeated all year they make the playoffs. I just don't think they have a shot.

For what it's worth, Tyler Wiegers is in right now for the rest of the 4th quarter for Iowa. Small injury to the starter.

Iowa played without 5 starters and to be honest have far fewer recruiting options as RU does but they play old fashioned punch you in the mouth football .Baylor probably would kill them but Iowa can olny play the games on their schedule.Nice to see Jersey boy Wadley tearing it up!

that's what happens when you don't balance the divisions and don't try to balance schedules out
