I just don’t get it. I’m done trying to understand what coach sees cause I sure don’t see it.

Bassett may take Henry County back in a few years. A lot of MV’s players will want to play for Johnson. Favero is throwing his season away. I know MV is better than the GW performance and is at least 4 TDs better than Halifax.

Can't see a mass exodus of players from MV to Bassett. Johnson is a good young coach but I just don't think the kids will go from southern Henry to northern Henry just for that reason. If he takes over it will be cause the talent pool will dry up in the MV school zone and shift back up Bassett way. Favero does a good job with the Warriors, just needs to make a decision at qb and stick with it. As the old saying goes, if you got 2 quarterbacks you don't have one. Got to make a choice.

Just judging from what I've read here, they don't really have a QB controversy anymore. Greenfield has played all but a couple of series in the last 2 games.

I think High School football fans are very hypocritical. Some of the same MV fans that wanted Greenfield to start over the senior QB last year are the same fans that want to bench him now. Greenfield has not given Favero a reason to not start him. He has only lost 4 games as a starter. Favero has two great QB’s but Greenfield is the starter.

High school football fans are very hypocritical. Most are not fans at all because a real fan supports his/her team through the ups and downs, they support the coaches regardless of their decisions/play calling, and they don't bash the players and coaches when things are going well. Most people that call themselves "fans" are more like fair weather friends. Everyone loves the coach and team as long as they win but as soon as there may a small sign of a little trouble in paradise then, they know more than the coaches and players. The same "fans" that sing your praises also throw you under the bus any chance they get.

I can tell you I wasn’t one of them. Perkins was 100 times better qb, it was ridge98 and mvwarrior. Roberts has more potential. How bout them bengals record lol?!

Damn shades throw us under the bus.. lol. personally i think perkins try to do too much.. i mean he was more athletic than greenfield, but he just wasnt getting the ball out.. this year its different, i think the offense just moves better with freddie.(ill admit i thought akira should be starter at the beginning.) To me it just seems more up tempo when freddie in. with that offense you have to have somewhat of a mobile qb, akira is over 200lbs, he does not scare any defenses. This is the worst offense MV has had in years, dont changes usually start at the qb? I mean bassett scored more points than us against GW, let that sink in.. as far as support, i think ive missed 2 games in probably the last 5 years, and i plan on begin there friday night..

You have to look at this thing as a marriage between the offense an defense. "Usually" they have to work as a team and have each others back. Offense sales tickets and defense wins ball games. This looks like one of those years were offense is taking all the abuse and defense is trying to hold it all together. The defense needs more help from the offense to make this thing click, by managing the clock a little more. I like both QB's on this team and from what I have heard Akira is the starter and they are going to stick with him. This offense is very young at a lot of positions. The coaches prepare each week to get those kids ready to play, but one thing we need to keep in mind is that they cant play for those kids. The players are making young mistakes right now and need a field general to get them going. What I am noticing about this team other than the 2 state championship teams is that they don't have a vocal leader on the field right. It needs someone to take control of the offense and get these guys mentally ready to play. IMO Akira is a good QB, but is not a very good vocal leader, because it has shown in his actions.
