Mostly solid final week for everyone this week. The 1A/4AA game proved to be hard to pick for almost everyone. Murphy barely lost and Page laid an egg and it proved for strange bedfellows. Hammer had the best week but alas the missed pick proved costly and Kevin took the playoffs win by 1 point over Hammer. All around great action in the playoffs to end the game for the year.

Well this concludes the game for the 2016 season; what an odd yet fun year this was. I hope you all enjoyed it.

I'm glad to have brought this back again for you folks for the 5th year; looking like Year 6 is a go for the new alignment. Right now I can't say for certain if I will run it or not next year though; I'm very exhausted and need the break. This season was very taxing on me during the run and it wasn't the funnest, but I'm proud to have made it thru it so this game could keep going. The season ended well so it made up for the malaise at the start. I'll always take that lol. I'm gonna take a good while off to rest and recollect and plan out my ideas for next season and I'll be back around spring practice time with an answer for you folks.

I plan on doing some new and fun things next year besides this (if I do it,) and the JV thread. Would love to do a top 10 poll every week for the area and conference/game predictions again. I miss doing those plus I feel it would add some variety. That would be beyond fun. If I do choose to not run the game I'll pass it to someone I trust and gladly participate as a contestant .

Anyways I'll still be around waiting and lurking to reply.. Merry Christmas everybody! I hope everyone has a beyond awesome 2017 ahead!

It was a blast, it actually made me follow with some interest some schools I normally would not. Thank you so for much for doing this and I for one hope you return next year.

BTW thanks Sportsnut for you're help on the JV thread and info about the Forsyth squads data down there is hard to get up here so you more than helped me; you were a lifesaver.

I'm not going anywhere so don't worry too much And very true! 2017's gonna be a fun yet weird year.

Im looking forward to defending my title belt next season. For the record i picked rocky mount to guarantee a victory over ahsviking instead of a possible tie. Thought u had forgot to pick hammer but i kept checking throughout friday and i would have picked south point if u wouldnt have forgot fridays game. Once i saw i was guaranteed a 1 pt win i didnt bother changing it to south point in risk of tying ahv.Thanks for doing this competition slasher. Appreciate all your coverage for the whole nw mvac area its hard to find throughout the year.
