Already lost to Elon and Tennessee State, and now on the brink of losing to a freaking SWAC team. So add Horn on to the list of coaches that Coach thinks are better than Stans who have been fired (Gottfried, Brady, Pelfrey).

Brady? more successful than Stands- 2 SEC titles and 2Sweet 16's- one of which ended up a Final Four <div>Gottfried? Has more NCAA appearances and coaches at a more prestigious school</div><div>Pelphrey? Finally was rebuilding that turd called Arkansas, who hasnt made a Sweet 16 since 96- gets a top 10 recruiting class and they fire him- immediately hired as an asst @Fla</div><div>
</div><div>I noticed you left off Grant at Alabama and Mark Fox of Georgia and the jobs they are doing....hmmmm wonder why?</div>

Brady finished last place in the SEC in at least half the years he was at LSU. He had two NBA starters fall into his lap for one year and, to his credit, took them to a Final Four. The next year, they were back in last place. Stans has never had any NBA players worth a **** on his roster. He does now and let's see what he does with them. Pelfrey didn't do jack **** at Arkansas, and as I type this, all that talent is currently losing at home to Utah Valley. Foxand Grant haven't done anythingthat Stans hasn't done, which is make the NCAA tourney and lose in the first round.

He pointed out that all the coaches that you placed on a pedestal were fired..not what their accomplishments were in their tenures. (Pelphrey's defense was a stretch). And are Grant and Fox your new touchstones for excellence? Your others have fallen by the wayside.

how could they not be great examples of Coach34s idiocy??? Stansbury is 0-13 and must be fired because the only thing that matters is S16 appearances. Fox is 0-7 and is great. Grant is 0-2 and is great. GET IT STRAIGHT!!!</p>

finishing 4th or finishing 6th in the West is irrelevant...bottom line is SEC titles along with NCAA appearances and success

Grant has been to 2 NCAA Tourney's in hsi 5 years as a HC- and looks to be headed to his 3rd in 6 years (just as Stands did)...but the difference is we wont be talking about Grant not having any Tourney success 14 years into his head coaching career <div>
</div><div>Fox is 4 for 7 in NCAA appearances</div><div>
</div><div>You have to give these guys credit for the situations they entered, and how quickly they have turned them around- putting them ahead of Stands- plus if you watch their teams play- you can see that they can actually coach.</div>

if he makes an NCAA Tourney- if he made a Final Four like Brady did, he would coach at State until he died as long he didnt bang pom-pom girls. Hell, we even let people around the country ridicule our program as they do in my sig- but by gosh we will stand by our man. <div>
</div><div>When other schools have higher standards, firing means nothing- just look at the accomplisments</div>

with Richard Williams by his side they each drew on their Final Four experiences and coached the Red Wolves to 27 points tonights.<div>
</div><div>That's right - two of the most masterful minds in SEC history coached a team that had 27 #++$**% points in a 40 minute basketball game.</div>

I was wondering about the ones that you had talked about being better than the current coach at Mississippi State for basketball that are now not employed by current SEC schools. Again, what are your touchstones for excellence?

every 5 years- we shouldnt be one of the few teams in the SEC without a Sweet 16 the last 15 years in basketball<div>
</div><div>Stands has made 6 NCAA's in 13 years and thats not bad- but only twice in the last 6 seasons, with one being when we had to win the SEC Tourney to get in ...the trend has been going down- not to mention the off-the-court issues. But the AD stuck by him and gave him one more chance- and he looks to be making the most of it this season so far.</div><div>
</div><div>Where all this gets skewed by the Apologists is that they act like I've been calling for him to be fired for 5 years now- and thats totally false. I've only thought he should have been fired the last couple of seasons. But as long as he is the coach, we wont make a Sweet 16- and that is depressing knowing every season you have no shot at making it.
