"We will beat JSU, MTSU, Troy ( struggle but win), South Alabama, UK ( about the same as last year...14 points or less), Ole Miss ( 14 points or less). Why do I have to keep posting that Auburn has more talent and their record against us the last few years? We lose to Auburn by 7 or more points, and we will lose to A&M and Ark. We can't beat anyone that has a pass happy offense with equal talent. In the past, we have been too slow to adjust, we seem to want to play off the line of scrimmage to avoid the big pass but never adjust. The only game I see us having a chance to pull an upset is the Tenn game. If we can establish the run against their weak D Line, I think we may be able to beat them at home but it will be a close game as well. So, 7-5 is an outside possibility. If I'm wrong, I will be the first to admit it, but I'm usually right. We will probably end up in Liberty or Independence Bowl and that is an improvement from the past decade minus the last 2 years....Roughly same season as last year"...BogeyGolfer August 2012
Above is my preseason 6-6 post that caused many of the sunshine pumpers to have a meltdown, I was wrong, we are not the same as last year, and we would lose to last year's team without a doubt....
Bogey's Jville report:
The Gator Bowl puts on a great game and Everbank is a great facility with an outstanding staff. I also want to give props to Windsor Parke Golf Course. We played on Monday for $39 and the course was in excellent shape. It's not a 5 star course but it's a great track in the city of J'ville close to all the hotels and was well worth the money. The Landing was not as crazy as two years ago but still a lot of fun and most of the NW fans we talked to were cordial. Strick made his way through the crowd to shake hands and wave to many of the dawg fans gathered there on New Year's Eve. But if we want to continue to get invites to Florida Bowls we need to show up. I was disappointed with our overall showing even with an average (at best) football team.By the way, I was also right about Atlanta being the best route....
