A) they don't practice fgs before the game and it shows
B) their jumbotron use is worse than ours
C) best beef brisket I've ever had in the box

I love the "fan stats" they flash on the jumbo.. .

When the saints force a third and fourth down. That's a good idea I'd like to see us do.

Hartley is usually a lock. Uncharacteristic miss today. Wouldn't chalk it up to not practicing before the game.

A lot of the same stuff at the Dome

Do the Saints run advertisements on the big board all the time?

I go to most Saints games and I've been meaning to remember to take note of the video board use, but haven't been doing a good job. They do a lot of the same "minor league" stuff that we do - dance cam, races, shell game, etc. People's Health is a big sponsor so they have a lot of commercials. Trying to think if there are other commercials but I can't remember any specifically. And I don't think the video board is used much if any at all during the 4th quarter.

The biggest difference is of course the Dome is way bigger and the video boards are way smaller, maybe 1/5 the size of the jumbotron, and there are two on either end zone. And the noise doesn't blow you away either.

What State does with their video entertainment is what lots of pro teams do. Grizzlies have kiss cam, dance cam, trivia, and the bongo cam. It's just part of it now.

You cant see the main boards when you're in the box. So they have two flat screens hanging down from above that are in your view. They have the exact same kind of area bumpkin commercials and "games" as our video board. Much like our board, It didnt bother me... But I did notice it.

Another thing that helps at the Dome is NFL timeouts

The TV timeouts after a score and then after the kickoff are prime times to bang out a lot of commercials.

But we have the same media timeouts as the NFL unless I'm mistaken. They have to pay the TV bills. One difference seems to be half time ... we have 20 minutes and I think the NFL has 15.

What good does warming up for a game do you? Go through the motions, jog a mile, stretch... you practiced for a week and you've made 10's of thousands of kicks at the point in which you're a professional kicker. I would imagine missing a kick in warmups would do wonders for your confidence, while making one does absolutely nothing.

If I was a coach I would never send my kicker out there 10 minutes a game and tell him to make 10 straight kicks. That's for saturday (friday if college).

New jumbotrons going up next year in the dome. I think they plan to hang them from the center,

I have been to 5 different NFL stadiums for games and the worst thing is the TV timeouts and commercials and fan cams during those times. They all do the same thing. I will be in the Dome for the 49ers game in a few weeks. I wish they had bigger screens there.

The one exception was/is the Cowboys. I went to the MNF game when they beat the Panthers for their first ever win in the new stadium. And I remember them showing the cheerleaders allot on the big screen. I made several videos with my phone of them on the big screen. I need to dig them up...they are on the computer now and post them.

Typically they learn their range on that day. That's one of the most important reasons they practice pre-game. And yes, it can vary from game to game. I guess you don't think a QB should throw a few balls before the game, since he's done it all week.
