I believe a reasonable father could conclude that his son would make more money in the NFL if he went to Auburn instead of MSU. And I believe that father might tell his son, "It's a business decision. There needs to be more than a scholarship--there needs to be a supporting cast that can showcase your talent. It will make you money in the long run."
And that son might turn down his old coach because, if he went to Auburn, "the money was too much." If such a conversation took place, it was probably nothing but an attempt by a good-hearted young man to explain that this was a business decision, not a guy spurning his first college coach.

Of course Cam was talking about his draft potential when he said "The money is too much." That's the only logical conclusion. And yes, where you go to college matters how much money you make in the NFL. Sincerely, Terrell Owens, Kurt Warner, Joe Flacco, Wes Welker, Alex Smith, Ben Roethlisberger, Brett Favre, etc.

I can't believe ESPN, Fox, CBS, etc are running so hard with this because someone doesn't have something pretty juicy. It may be as you say. It may be CAM bought that computer from a guy on the corner for $500 instead of stealing it, it may be that their was just a mess up several times while in school taking a test, it may be as you suggest Cecil was looking out for CAM's pro career going to Auburn, it may just be by circumstance that he rides a scooter around campus and does not drive a car because he likes that scooter feeling. ORRRR their may be something else out their. I guess it depends on how much you had to drink last night on what your story is going to be. For Auburn's and CAM sake it better of been ice tea last night and not finish off the bottle looking for the worm....
