My how things have changed with Quay Evans

For those who don't follow recruiting, Quay Evans is a one of the top junior defensive line recruits in the country. First he commited to Ole Miss and their fans were praising him as the next Jerrell Powe. State fans responded jokingly asking if he could read. In an interview Yancy asked him how he feels about State fans saying he can't read trying to turn him completely against State. Then, after some time, he decommited from them and now says State and Alabama are his top two. Now Ole Miss fans on the Spirit are calling him a thug and comparing him to Pat Patterson saying he'll never make it in college. They didn't want him anyway.

still a loooong way to go in that guy's recruitment. As long as we keep our staff together after this year, mainly defensively, we should have a really good shot with him and Ward.

It was be amazing. My brother is a 6'3 around 220 lb TE from NE Mississippi, and they played Aberdeen earlier this year, he told me that Channing smoked him like he was a small child.<div>
</div><div>Both of them have a lot of potential, I'd be stoked to get one of them. I know Ward isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but he can play football. One of the best players to come through the Amory/Aberdeen area in a while.</div>

getting Cox and Boyd in the same class. If we can land Brassell and Singleton, that may go along way with the top players for next year (especially if we can put a nail in the bears coffin).

I'm from his hometown and his recruitment has centered on State and Alabama for a while. He goes back and forth just like any kid. The latest is that he is favoring us... To bad it's not signing day.

is tyring to get him to go to the Ole Miss/LSU game for whatever that's worth.

It sounds like to me he might want to go over to Callaway and make sure that they keep Aaron Morris.
