The Georgia Southern Eagles have won six FCS (I-AA) national championships by beating Furman, Arkansas State, Stephen F. Austin, Nevada, Youngstown State and Montana. Not exactly like playing Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas, TCU, Baylor, et al. Heck, WVU fans have given a lot of flak because Youngstown is on the 2016 schedule. Same would hold true if any of GaSo's title game victims showed up in Mountaineer Field for a glorified scrimmage game.

Southern Conference from 1992 until 2013, winning 10 SoCon championships.

Georgia Southern joined the
Sun Belt Conference upon transitioning to the FBS level in 2014. The Eagles won the Sun Belt Conference championship outright in its first year as a FBS member.

Not exactly like winning the Big 12.

Georgia Southern is an excellent team, at the Sun Belt level. But if WVU loses to the Eagles, then we are in for a LONG season. I know Appalachian State beat Michigan, but these are so rare that they become etched in history as upsets of the century.

Clip the Eagles’ wings, make Liberty flameout and crack the Terps’ shell.

Then try to avoid the October Octopus Onslaught in the Big 12.

If WVU is 7-0 we will all be talking national title. If WVU is 6-1, we’ll all be talking Big 12 title. If WVU is 3-4 we’ll be talking Dana’s exit.

Didn't they give Florida and Georgia Tech all they could handle!

What should we talk about if we are 5-2 or 4-3 ? Just trying to get prepared.
