Others have talked about how they kept getting our players names wrong but this one really burned me up:

Because our coaches have made great adjustments to our pitching rotation this year, due to having the best bullpen in college ball, and typically only have starters that go 3, 4 maybe 5 innings - they somehow morphed that into that we *have* to have this pitching strategy because we can't recruit better pitchers. We apparently are unable, due to our poor recruiting, to land a pitcher that can go more than 3 innings effectively. We can't get that pitcher that can "save something for later" and go through the batting order more than once.

Man, I sure wish we could recruit. I mean, think about it. If we could just figure out how to get a really good pitcher to commit to us, you know, one that can go more than 3 innings, we might actually get a pitcher into the major leagues one day - one that might actually start a game in the majors. Oh well, we can dream about it anyway.....

My favorite part was the Bulldog explaining how the beachballs and football in the bullpen were used as tools to help the pitchers build coordination, agility, and feel for the baseball. I couldn't tell if he was serious or was giving the absolute best dead pan joke delivery ever. I felt like he totally understood the mentality of our team and just jumped right in there and went along with it. It even seemed like he was punking Mike Patrick a little.

Did anyone else notice when they showed an all-time list for us (I think it was single season hits), and one of the names was Tommy Raff? I could just imagine Raffo sitting at home watching the game thinking about he could have been the coach, and then he saw that.

It's not that we don't have great starting pitchers, we choose to use them as middle relief instead.

That was my favorite part of the game as far as humor goes

For some reason, I think he felt compelled to tell the viewers why we were playing with beach balls in the bullpen and then he over analyzed it.

Mike Patrick can't be that hard to punk. He didn't know what was going on half the time. At least Harry Caray could tell you who the hitter was even when he was about to pass out.

The funny part was him saying Slauter was holding the football b/c he liked to warm up in the bullpen with a football. I know he probably doesn't know that Slauter is a catcher but I thought that was funny.

Among the hitters I heard Harry introduce:

Atlanta 3B Terry Pendergrass
Cubs C Hector Vannilawaver
Cubs OF Rafael Palermo
Dodgers P Hideo (rhymed with video) Nomo

Anyone else catch themselves reading these in a Harty Caray voice?
