My theory on Floyd Raven's mom...

Talked to a buddy of mine and he had the same theory.<div>

Floyd got pissed about the possibility of greyshirting so he told Ole Miss go 17 yourself I'm going to Texas A&M. If you'll recall there were rumors he commited to A&M last week and A&M sites confirmed it, but then all of a sudden it's not true. Ole Miss comes to Floyd and tells him, hey hey come be with us we'll give you a little more money...Floyd thinks about it, tells his mom, and decides to de-commit from A&M. Signing day comes and he tells mama, they thought about greyshirting me which means they have other players they want over me, A&M wants me and never doubted me so I'll go there. Floyd goes to school, mama wants that money so she faxes in the LOI. Floyd says, WTF mom, screw you I'm going to A&M.</div><div>

The family is told the other half of the money will be deposited the moment we get the signed LOI. So a bogus one is faxed in hopes of getting the money while at the same time being able to wiggle out later because the LOI was essentially junk.

After our big official visit weekend, our staff and reporters thought Ole Miss had both as they were both the top two targets at DB.

Floyd Raven was never going to greyshirt. Kid was one of our top targets.

if Oxford is a lot closer to home (I don't know where he lives) I wouldn't put it past an overly attached parent to do something like that. Based on his offer list, there is no way in hell he was greyshirting.

I read somewhere he was pissed off about something. I thought he was solid to Ole Miss for a long time, then all of a sudden was looking. I haven't followed his recruitment so I don't know. But I know alot of Ole Miss fans were upset he waswaveringand it was around the time there were greyshirts being offered. Maybe I assumed a little bit, but I thought I read he was a greyshirt. And his offer list is bogus like a lot of players. Players claim offers and the recruiting sites put them on there. There was definitely money involved. Never heard of someone forging their sons signature on a LOI.
