Relax. It’s a mainboard inside joke. Just goofing on OSU fans, many of which love to vacation in Myrtle Beach.

TBH the water is nicer in Phi Phi and Maya Bay than this video, which I would not have expected.
Ironically what you point out is basically a double edged sword that encompasses both Al's point and yours.
RU fans are more worldly. When you go to RU you get an itch to discover more with all the opportunities and great diversity. So RU fans are more inclined to spend on something like Maldives than NIL. A school like tOSU, less so on that itch but more devotion to the football as what else is there in Ohio? Columbus is nice, but I would MUCH rather live in NJ. We have a ton of Columbuses all across NJ.
The goal is probably something like Michigan where you have an NC and academics so good that they go to Maldives and donate and have money to spare.

If you're still there, I highly recommend taking one of the flightseeing trips on the small planes that take people to the resorts that are further out from Hulhule, where the international airport is located, next to Male, the capital city and island of the same name.
The best photography in the Maldives is done from the small planes, which take off and land on the water as they drop off passengers at the resorts that provide much of the country's economy. The multiple shades of blue of the water is unforgettable.
