that any one person could sound so much like an ******* during an induction speech. By that point, it sounded like the cheers he got were more out of courtesy instead of excitement or even congratulations.

a prick while he played. He quit the NBA because he was bored with basketball and nobody could challenge him. Greatest ever though. No contest.

....over. Especially after the coach did him a favor by letting him develop with the JV team for a year and get some leadership playing time, instead of scrub time or spot-duty with the Varsity.

And I think that's pretty crappy- that you have to make enemies to make yourself do well. Even crappier that Jordan calls him out espeically after all he did for him.

I guess for some people winning championships and being the best isn't good enough.

I have a friend that started his internship with Jimmy Sexton the summer jordan played baseball. He told me in 1994 that was the reason. Don't forget Sexton represented Scotty Pippin then. Again, he told me that in 1994, so it's not some crazy story that has developed since Jordan retired that is for sure.

and desire to be the best that borders on the sociopathic. I imagine it's hard to turn off. Just because he can hawk Big Macs with a smile doesn't mean we "know" the guy.<div>

be the best you can be, winning championships, money, do your best because Jesus wants us to do our best because he gave his all- etc.

But to be the best so that you can get "payback" on all the people that slighted you is petty and stupid.

I can guarantee you that every single pro athlete had someone tell them they "couldn't" do something or was "slighted" at some point- like Emmitt Smith and Jerry Rice in the NFL draft. But the difference is, those players and most of the other athletes in the world don't really care about that once they've actaully accomplished something, and if they do they don't dwell on it and call people out during their HOF induction.
