Remember this time last year and how much it sucked? Absolutely ZERO sports to watch other than Korean Baseball at 5:00 a.m. (4:00 a.m., Satan's time). Kook had just defeated the 'rona but couldn't smell or taste anything. I was using STORE BRAND TOILET PAPER. We stood in line to get into the store to buy groceries that mostly were way too picked over.

The new kroger store just down the road from my home has a bar with 6 or 7 booths and twelve beers on tap. i live within two miles of two krogers and less than a mile from a third. one has a liquor store. the one with a bar also has live music starting around noon—usually a solo horn or guitar player. i’m well heeled with kroger stores.Kroger in Middlesboro now stocks and sells beer. I would have played better high -- or at least I couldn't have played (i.e. hit) any worse. This was far and away my worst tournament in like the history of ever. Everything felt off. I was anxious, way out in front, taking beautiful pitches and then swinging at anything and then hitting everything I did swing at off either the handle or the bat's cap. Hell, I would have swung if they'd rolled the f#cking ball up there...but I looked good dammit. At least I looked good.

Saw this morning Kroger - Middlesboro just opened a package store next door yesterday selling wine and spirits. Anyway, Meteor Crater City had been dry since the late-1950s. It's amazing modern conveniences other communities take for granted are finally available around this area.That's a start. Same way in the county i’m from in eky—dry since ‘40s until three years ago. now even the dollar store sells.
That’s the modern/future equivalent of wet & dry counties. Teenagers of today when they turn 50 will reminisce about how they had to drive to the dispensary several towns away or use a dealer (bootlegger).
Let me just say that the first time I ever went to a bootlegger in SE KY it was quite an adventure. Those dudes are a different breed.

Gut wrenching to watch that vigil. Those kids loved each other. There are people in this very thread that have experienced tragedy and things of this nature bring back those emotions. We remember that hurt and sadness. I hope God brings peace to those kids, Coach Cal, and most importantly Terrence's family.

What Would You Do Scenario
Your pitcher is going on a complete game, perfect game. However, the hitters are starting to dial in on him and are hitting it to the warning track as he starts to tire. It's the 9th inning and the score is still 0-0 because your offense decided to stay home. The next player up is their slugger and he's itching to ruin the day for everyone. What do you do?
1. Take your chances and see what the pitcher can do with him.
2. Call the bullpen and hopefully 'share' a perfect game.
3. Intentional walk and hope there still might be a no-hitter.
