"If a waitress has dirty ankles, the chili is good".

Sincerely,

Al McGuire

Al McGuire absolutely loved Brookings Chili. He ate there every time he came to Lexington to call a U.K. Game. He used to talk about it all the time. True story.

I loved Brookings too. Little hole in the wall joint but the chili was great (suck it Uncle Jed) and they were one of the only places at that time that still served Coke in those old school small bottles as well.

Awesome story. Thanks, KS. I would have so loved to have met him. One of the greats.

I'd eat it. On a hot dog.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that your interwebz profession sucks. Not you...other than the chili debacle you are alright in my book...just the interwebz profession you chose.

Pretty sure you have to get paid for it to be a profession. Jedwar is an amateur. A barely legal one at that.

Well allow me to retort...

They get paid in "power over others". Some message board czars probably prefer that over real money. Some get "paid" more than others by over-exerting and sometimes even abusing said power.

Also pretty sure they get a real stipend paid in bitcoins as well.

I stand by my previous post.

Yanks are folding sooner than I originally assumed they would. Just dropped their 5th game in a row.

The reds have gone 8 straight. They are really trying to make sure the twins don't have the first pick again next yr

Other than the damn yanks losing...I don't really care what happens during the 298 regular season games each team plays. And even then I am only slightly interested once the post season begins.

Just rooting for the Yanks inevitable demise because...well mostly because they are the Yankees. But mostly mostly (not a typo) because of their insufferable fans...like kooky.
