That place is still cool as hell. Beautiful drive through Virginia in the mountains.

Tommy was nearly a vegetarian. He used meat as a condiment. Dude lived into his 80s. That's good now days, outstanding for that period.

On the garden tour, the guide mentioned how he tried planting all kinds of trees, vegetables. & flowers. Several failed. He said some people would laugh at it (he meant figuratively). Some lady in the group became really incensed that anyone would laugh at him. I spoke up and told her that it's the irony. Relax lady, I'm glad Tommy cold write a great Constitution. Not so worried about his black thumb.

Glad you enjoyed it.

We are making the trek to D.C. some time in the near future. Remind me what ages your kids are again.

I respect Willy. And I respect his reasoning for becoming a vegan. Doesn't mean I approve of veganism as a way of life.

Still think Willy cheats on his vegan diet. He's lying about that. I can see it in his eyes. The eyes never lie.

I like Ruth's Chris but damn if it don't make me feel like I've got a lisp when I say it. Egotistical ***** should have just stuck with Chris's name.

12 yo girl. One thing that I would recommend is to do a night time bike tour of the monuments. That was really fun.

Sounds like a lost verse to Old McDonald Had A Farm to me:

...here a sphere TheraSphere...everywhere a sphere sphere.

Alternate joke:

Sounds like somebody located Schpeerz:

Where's Schpeerz?

Thera Schpeerz. Over there sitting on the bench with a score book keeping stats for his industrial league basketball team.

I both love and hate airline travel. I love the fact that with little effort I can travel nearly a thousand miles in a few hours.

However, today I got up a little after 4 AM. 5AM cab to the airport. Checked 2 bags ($50). Move thru security, get to our gate maybe an hours early. Wait, wait, & wait. The gate clerk blames the delay on the flight crew not being there. We board 20 min late (not a big deal). Pilot tells us they switched the plane & we have too much gas to land. They have to pump some out of the tanks.

Missed our connection in Charlotte. Gonna get home about 12 hrs later than planned.

Airports are weird. Reagan National had some extra plug ins for charging phones and computers. Charlotte does not. Had to find one by the moving sidewalk. Charlotte has water bottle fill stations, but I only saw water fountains in Reagan. One terminal here has a bathroom attendant. Dude seems so happy to wipe down the shitters and spray some air freshener. He does keep it nice. Other terminal , no attendant, and it's scuzzy like a gas station.

Dallas/Ft Worth has the nastiest bathrooms of them all. It's the exact opposite of the happy toilet scrubbing dude 93 described above.

DFW was clean last time I went through there, but that's been several years.

I'm just sitting here people watching. So many unaware people on the moving sidewalk. They just get on there and sprawl out with there bags & clog it up.

I've seen uncle Fester, uncle Remus, and all sorts of people here.

Hahahaha. You should have slapped uncle Fester's bald head and told him to "Stay to the right!"

Yeah, been through DFW twice in the last 8 months or so. Nasty bathrooms both times.

Just saw an older woman in a skirt, with one normal size leg and one really fat leg. I mean the fat leg looked like part of a cabbage patch kid. How the hell does that happen?

Sometime I forget what I post. Wouldn't be doing my due diligence if I let this slide. Did I mention that the Yankees got beat last night on a walk off WALK?

Not a home run...not a seeing eye single...not even a broken bat Texas Leaguer...a freaking WALK!!! They walked the winning run across home plate!!! That's akin to going your whole life without ever hitting a curve ball.

Bwahahahaha!!!

This airport sucks balls. Flight delayed again. There have been several others delayed, some canceled. Some reinstated. The airport and American Airlines seem to be a complete cluster f**k today.

So along with my miller I fixed on the grill:

Applewood ribs.

Grilled corn on the cob in husk and no husk. Personally liked the no husk better.

Asparagus in a cast iron skillet.

Grilled peaches.

Annnnnd more miller.

Your day of grilling was better than mine. Raising money for the boy scout troop. Can"t drink. And we probably did a little better than break even. Long *** day for almost nothing.

Yeah I've been apart of those things. Seems like a good idea but by the end of the day if you break even you had a great day lol.

That's discouraging, but hopefully the boys learned something from it. My scout troop had equipment to paint lines on parking lots and roads, so that's how we raised money.
