An affidavit by Mayfield's stepmother, Lisa, said "she has personal knowledge of Mr. Mayfield using and even manufacturing methamphetamine, including his usage of methamphetamine before a race as far back as a decade ago."

"I first saw Jeremy using methamphetamine in 1998 at Jeremy's shop on Jackson Road in Mooresville, North Carolina," she said. "Jeremy cooked some of his own methamphetamine in his shop by the house until the stores took pseudoephedrine off the shelves. In addition to making methamphetamine for his own use, I am aware that Jeremy has bought methamphetamine from others."

Guess u thought the movie reffer madness was true also. I know SEVERAL people who used meth a few times and weren't hooked. Never saw what anyone saw in meth. All u do is sweat and grit your teeth.

my wife is a social worker and I sat with her one evening while the drug task force for this area went on and on about how meth is their number one priority and in addition to all the godawful photos of people using, the 2% recovery stat was a stat they used more than once.

I guess I simply didn't expect half a dozen people to scream ******** and respond as if I just crawled out from under some damn rock. If you guys know people who have tried it once or twice and rocked on then good. Out of the four that I know, two of them can't shake it and the other two, nobody knows where the 17 they are.

This drug does not care if you are poor or rich. As far as his family is concerned, great job. His mother-in-law should be locked up. The danger she placed other drivers in is speachless. Interesting, he could manufacture it for himself until his own demand caused him to outsource. Guess Jeremy ran into Cap And Trade.

If you have a dependant personality, no willpower, and live in a trailer, then yes you can get hooked. Meth sucks, I know many a person who have tried it back in the day and they are not meth heads. They were recreational drug users and meth was in the rotation, but now they are contributing members of society with no vices other than alcohol and women. It all comes back to the individual and their situation and chemical makeup. Some people will be addicts no matter what, it might be drugs, porn, gambling, etc., just depends on what they get hooked on. Meth is good if you need to stay up and drive across the USA, otherwise not so much... That 2% stat is total ********... Don't believe everything you hear...
