Clay Travis is pumping that idea... under the pretense that it gets them back Chavis and brings in Tee Martin(securing a couple elite players, namely Jalen Ramsey, from USC). They want Fulmer for his connections and likely ability to put together an absolutely kick *** staff...

Is it true that Dave Hart has resorted to match.com to help find a coach?

They might need to get on JDate to get back Bruce Pearl. B-ball team has scored less than 40 two games in a row.

This is just beyond ridiculous. They are in total meltdown after Arkansas and Auburn hired quality coaches and they keep getting turned down. Watch the Vols panic again just like when Lane left in the middle of the night and make another terrible hire.

I wonder why they won't consider a good coordinator? I would go that route over Fulmer.

or is he a lock to Ole Miss when Freeze jumps at a better head coaching position?

We dropped the vols next year and replaced them with SC. Something about only

playing eastern division opponent for one year. We won't see them again until around 2018.

But, why hasnt anyone ever given any consideration to Marty Schottenheimer? He is getting a little old now (69) but i don't understand why his name has never come up in consideration for any of these college jobs in the past 6 years. The guy is a winner. Yes he has the stigma of "He can't win the big game", but I have never bought into that stereotype. Chargers fans can't be happier with Norv than they were with Schottenheimer.

My interpretation. We struck out on finding a coach so we're turning to loyal UT guy who bleeds orange to come back and get us through tough probation years we're about to go through. Then when he retires, we'll be in better position to make our real hire.

The comment that i heard on the radio this morning was "at this point, nothing is ruled out." I took it as a tongue-in-cheek statement

What is TennStud saying all about this...

...Is the nutcase, TennStud, stll around? He usually had the inside skinny on everything. (If he didn't, he would just make something up). Wonder what his crazy *** is saying currently.

I wonder what Pat thinks of the coaching search? And no... not Pat Summitt.... but Pat from the SEC baseball tournament.
