Maybe after last night’s performance they’ll show up at the BJC in their bathrobes just like the last time they were flyin’ high.If Ohio State has a good night 8-2 PSU, and less than 5 PSU bonus points. So something around 28 - 6.

Feldman beat Cole 10-3 in the dual last year.I don't think Nagao is beating Mendez, but I do think it is much more likely Nagao beats Mendez than Feldman bonuses Mirasola.
Hmmmmm..... Iowa had less than 10 takedowns for the whole team against OK State. I don't think that adds up to much fun.
Nope, Cael won't be there next year because he will have 10 PSU wrestlers representing the US in both Men's Senior division and U23 division. They are going to need a little bit of a break before they start getting into the regular college season.Paycom guy announced during his interview last evening that they’ve already booked the BOK Center for the same weekend next November.
Cael ain’t going next year either for the same reasons he didn’t go this year.
I heard they had a meeting recently and decided on the date for next year as well and it will be the same. Also heard he's not interested in ever moving out of Tulsa. Sounds like if it makes it to year 3 that might be the year the date moves. Agree Cael isn't gonna be going anytime soonPaycom guy announced during his interview last evening that they’ve already booked the BOK Center for the same weekend next November.

That's also moved up a few weeks and in Vegas so won't be as much of an issue. Regarding your Mitch vs it doesn't matter.Let's take a look at it:
125: Luke vs Bouzakis
Luke is definitely the favorite but Bouzakis has a punchers chance with his pinning ability.
133: Blaze vs Davino
Past results in favor Blaze but we all saw what Davino did to Ayala. That was destruction. This will be an interesting match.
141: Nagao vs Mendez
Mendez is the heavy favorite and should bonus. (I'm tossing Nagao results vs Mendez his freshman year. Mendez is a completely different animal now.)
149: Van Ness vs Stiles
Van Ness is the heavy favorite and should bonus (has a pin last season)
157: Duke vs Cannon
We haven't seen Duke wrestle folkstyle at this level yet and Cannon is no slouch. I'd pick Duke but it's not crazy talk to say Cannon has a chance.
165: Mitch vs it doesn't matter
Obligatory TF
174: Haines vs Kharchla
Haines is the heavy favorite and could bonus
184: Welsh vs Fishback
Welsh is the favorite, bonus unlikely (Fishback has given up bonus just once - to Keckeisen)
197: Barr vs Shumate
Barr is the heavy favorite and should bonus (has a TF last season)
Heavy: Feldman vs Mirasola
Feldman is a heavy favorite, possible bonus
The baseline is 8-2 Penn State. With anOSU's best other chances at 133 and 157 and a yolo chance at 125.
I don’t think I‘ve shared this before, but I have a link to Tim Johnson.Sparks been hanging with Gibbons and Johnson tooooo much!
I am still going with it is more likely Nagao beats Mendez than Feldman bonuses Mirasola.Feldman beat Cole 10-3 in the dual last year.
I wouldnt doubt if Bouzakis is for PSU. Tom needs some upsets to keep it close. Bouzakis provides a shot to get an upset. And yes I know McCrone beat Luke last time. I wouldnt count on that happening again.I think Nagao's unorthodox style will slow Mendez down enough to keep it to a decision.
Are we certain Bouzakis will be OSU's starter? He lost to McCrone at the Clarion Open.
he all but said Bouzakis is the guy at 25. At least that is what I heard...I wouldnt doubt if Bouzakis is for PSU. Tom needs some upsets to keep it close. Bouzakis provides a shot to get an upset. And yes I know McCrone beat Luke last time. I wouldnt count on that happening again.
Bousakis wrestled Volk and Dean this weekend.I wouldnt doubt if Bouzakis is for PSU. Tom needs some upsets to keep it close. Bouzakis provides a shot to get an upset. And yes I know McCrone beat Luke last time. I wouldnt count on that happening again.
It's early, but Bouzakis clearly has the advantage at this point. If he can comfortably hold 125 he offers way more upside, IMO.Bousakis wrestled Volk and Dean this weekend.
McCrone got a Wyoming kid and the Nebraska back up. The writing is on the wall. Winning the head to head doesn't matter it's who beats the competition. They had him cut to 125 for a reason and that reason wasn't to sit on the bench. They know what they have with McCrone already he's had his opportunities
149 seems the biggest stretch. Stiles has improved. But Shayne is 11-0 vs common opponents (Stiles, 4-5) and he pinned Stiles (and four of the five common foes who beat him) last year at NCAAs.
Some wrestlers left this dual meet tournament pretty banged up. Rarely do you wrestle 4 high-level opponents in two days. That typically only happens at Big Tens (maybe) and NCAAs. I’m wondering if some coaches may be forced to rethink this now.
The reason is the same reason Facundo cut to 157 last year, because McCrone/Kilkeary at 125 is an easier spot to challenge for on paper than the potential national champs at 133 or 141 (Davino/Mendez), just like challenging Kasak last year wasn't exactly a walk in the park, but Facundo knew he had no shot at MM or Levi so he made the cut and gave it the old college try. Like Facundo, Bouzakis still should have to actually win the spot, which it doesn't appear as though he has since he lost to McCrone already.Bousakis wrestled Volk and Dean this weekend.

Bouzakis wrestled the second match each day and got 5 hours and 10 hours of recovery time from his 8am weigh in. Lets see some more 2 hour weigh in results. It's early, but Bouzakis clearly has the advantage at this point. If he can comfortably hold 125 he offers way more upside, IMO.
He definitely cut because he can't beat Davino. Beating your teammate doesn't always mean you get the spot you don't wrestle your teammate in a dual or the conference and NCAA tournament. The Ohio st staff didn't have Bousakis cut down so he can ride the bench. They've enough data on McCrone now that they know what they have in himThe reason is the same reason Facundo cut to 157 last year, because McCrone/Kilkeary at 125 is an easier spot to challenge for on paper than the potential national champs at 133 or 141 (Davino/Mendez), just like challenging Kasak last year wasn't exactly a walk in the park, but Facundo knew he had no shot at MM or Levi so he made the cut and gave it the old college try. That's an excellent point. On top of that, he isn't going to find the meatgrinder at the NCAA tournament easy after holding his weight down for 4-5 months. Let's see how he progresses from here.Bouzakis wrestled the second match each day and got 5 hours and 10 hours of recovery time from his 8am weigh in. Lets see some more 2 hour weigh in results.
The entire OSU team looked to be in late season cardio shape. If Bousakis is actually in shape, the weight cut might not be bothersome. It will be interesting to see how this year plays out.Bousakis has a 16-19 record in matches decided by decision.
Perhaps that is why he comes out gangbusters and tries to build a big lead or end it early. With the weight cut, it will be interesting to see how he fares in matches won or lost in the 3rd period..
Brock Hardy saysI think Nagao's unorthodox style will slow Mendez down enough to keep it to a decision.

I would love that, especially after we beat them by 25+ points.Maybe after last night’s performance they’ll show up at the BJC in their bathrobes just like the last time they were flyin’ high.
There’s no question Luke is the superior wrestler. Same as his matchup with McCrone last season, he just needs to avoid the big move and he’ll pick Bouzakis apart.Bousakis has a 16-19 record in matches decided by decision.

It's not like Bouzakis is a national champ or even an AA, he's a career underachiever so far. He shouldn't be gifted a spot just because he's Nic Bouzakis, #1 recruit. He needs to earn it somehow. If they're still just going on Bouzakis's recruiting profile, then should Paddy be 157 over Cannon, too? The staff shouldn't make him do anything. He should cut if he thinks it's a better spot to challenge for, but he should also have to win the spot from McCrone. Maybe things have happened in the room that I don't know about, but there's no public evidence that Bouzakis has earned squat yet. Imagine being McCrone and this guy who hasn't accomplished anything more than you have and who you beat head to head is just gifted your spot because of his name. That's how you lose a locker room.He definitely cut because he can't beat Davino. Whoa no reason for Logan Massa to be catching strays. He trained Josh Barr in high school and he was 0-8 in his career against Penn State wrestlers so he’s been nothing but a positive for the programI feel like Brock Hardy and S Allred have been wrestling in NCAA for almost as long as Logan Massa (34 years)
It might be the type of thing that would make a guy like Rocco leave for another school.Imagine being McCrone and this guy who hasn't accomplished anything more than you have and who you beat head to head is just gifted your spot because of his name. That's how you lose a locker room.
You’re laughing now, but I am concerned. Reports say that Tom Ryan has ordered 30 pairs of bunny slippers from Temu.Maybe after last night’s performance they’ll show up at the BJC in their bathrobes just like the last time they were flyin’ high.
I love hating on Tom Ryan as much as the next guy but Ohio state could have said the same thing when Cassar coming back from 3 years of bad injury beats the number 1 in the country and then gets sat right back down on bench for the postseasonIt might be the type of thing that would make a guy like Rocco leave for another school.
If Cassar was winning in the room, absolutely. But reports then and since have always said that Cassar lost the wrestle off that year.I love hating on Tom Ryan as much as the next guy but Ohio state could have said the same thing when Cassar coming back from 3 years of bad injury beats the number 1 in the country and then gets sat right back down on bench for the postseason
I bet that kind of thing happens on every team, including PSU. Not frequently, but once every few years. It's not like Bouzakis is a national champ or even an AA, he's a career underachiever so far. He shouldn't be gifted a spot just because he's Nic Bouzakis, #1 recruit. He needs to earn it somehow. maybe that's the coaching iowa way if you lose don't shake hands!Brands refuses to shake Lockett’s hand. I think Tom.
LOL they had already lost before Kueter! they had lost after 5 matches! With Keuter out, this is the deciding match right here
