I would love to see Navy play in a NY6 bowl. Force their opponent to waste two weeks of practice working on defending against the triple option, not to mention potentially postponing some bowl invites due to their game against Army on 12/12.

Houston dissed the United States Naval Academy Midshipmen. Imagine ,running up the score on our future warriors byscoring a TD from inside the 2 with less than a minute to play to give them a 52-31 lead. ( I can only imagine this board's reaction if Flood called that play and didn't take the knee.), And the fans booing Navy spiking the ball with 2 seconds to play. What total disrespect.As the announcer cried, " You can't boo Navy." But I guess the Houston mascot behaved well, so all is good.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Navy saved the selection committee a lot of worry. Houston will play either Temple or USF for the right to go to a NY6 bowl.

Not at the bargain basement prices that UConn got him for. I am also not entirely sold on the guy just yet. If he pulls a Fuentes or a Rhule next year and has that team ranked in the Top 20, then sure.

Someone will have to look at the SL tomorrow to see if they make a big deal out of Houston fans booing Navy. They sure blew it out of proportion in 2007 when a relatively small group of RU students were disrespectful to Navy. Most of us at the game didn't even hear that when it happened (not that I am excusing the behavior).
