Looks like the other thread got flushed. But for anyone interested the game is online in two parts. No need to pay for the hudl stream.

1st half.

2nd half

Jmo but it looked like the calls being discussed yesterday were correct.

In general, Naz should have won that game. That interception in the final 3 minutes was a dagger and then to top it off with the field goal situation, although the right call (dead ball), is just brutal.

Interested in a non biased take of the safety in the 1st.

The play in question can be seen at the 16:30 mark of the first half video posted by the OP. Sure looks like a safety to me unless I missing some nuanced clause in the rule.

To me safety, or intentional grounding wouldn't have been the right call. It looked like his arm was hit during his throwing motion and I dont believe where the ball landed was where he was intending to throw the ball.

I can't tell if the ball made it back to the LOS, but keep in mind that the LOS goes on forever.

Yeah, the video doesn't show where the ball landed. It looks like it was close but you would think the linesman would have had a good look at it.

It appears to me that there were no receivers close to where he was intending to throw. I would defer to any officials on this board in terms of the contact effecting the call. For any expert lipreaders out there, it looks like the official gives the reason for the incomplete pass call at the 17:07 mark of the first half video posted in the OP.

I can only assume that is what they were talking about as they huddled.

I believe they said he was out of the pocket.
Looks like the tackle is lined up on the edge of the R and the QB got all the way to the E which is out of the pocket, and since he was hit, where the ball land doesn't really matter because they can say that impacted the throw. I think it's the right call, even though it was super close.
