Yeah we have you on tape which is great.Going in, I was kind of down on this draft. I think I’m wrong. I think we’ll see a lot of guys with good 10–15 year careers out of this one. More so than years past.
Enjoyed reading this one fellas. Was texting with hokie during the draft but this here provided a lotta laughs. It was a great night for duke fans, don’t think kids weren’t watching. Same goes for little....
I might have slightly disagreed with you after the first round, because the Grizzlies adding Ja and coupling Brandon Clarke with Jaren Jackson may prove to be brilliant. Then, they got Bruno Fernando in the second off that trade and that officially won them the draft. What a huge value piece to get in the second round. Best second round value behind Bol Bol.
In terms of their playoff potential, you may be right. We’ll see how the East looks after free agency, but now that the Hawks may be out of tank mode, this could really do something huge for them. With Huerter being as effective as he is, Cam has a year to get things under his belt. I think that bodes well for him.
Then they kind of ruined what I thought was gonna be a great draft by taking the Belmont kid when he was still gonna be there in the 2nd round. They made up for it though by signing Bolden.
Told Hokie last night and i feel the same this morning, RJ is the best player in this draft. This is going to be a situation where you look back five years and say how did he not go 1.
Most of the projections I was looking at had him in the late 30's early 40's. Thought it was a reach and they could have moved back with all the trading/activity going on. I really wanted Kabengele or Nic Claxton, becauase Thompson/Love's days in Cleveland are numbered. What's not to like about Dylan Windler? Kid can ball. Athletic and lights-out shooter (effective fg percentage of 65% is crazy, especially for a wing). I think he's worthy of a 1st round pick, and Bilas even had him in the 20's somewhere.

Windler was somewhat safe, but with the 26th pick I would rather roll the dice on someone with more upside/risk, the Cavs are gonna have a bunch more lottery picks in years to come anyway.
Shocked that Kris Wilkes didn't get drafted. Former top 20 player in high school who was projected by some as a late first round pick after his freshman year. Seemed to hurt his draft status by coming back his second year for UCLA. You just don't have a lot of upside after 2 years. The Knicks did pick him up after the draft.

As an aside, The NBA and New Era need to either
a) Do Away with the hats for draftees or
b) Get some hats which fit modern player haircuts. or
c) Give the player a Hat or Jersey Option (See NHL)
Seriously - Coby, Nas Little, Cam, Jaxon Hayes,Kevin Porter etc looked ridiculous trying to balance those hats on their high rise hairdos
Mail me 10 bucks today. If that is the consensus 10 years from now, I’ll mail you 200 dollars. It would be amusing if Cam ended up being the best of the 3. Would certainly make for interesting discussion around here.
Yeah that’s fair, i should have worded that better. I don’t mean to say how did Zion go number one when RJ is the best player, you HAVE to take Zion. I do think you’ll look back though and say wow, RJ was clearly the best player. And i love the Conductor. No matter what happens, I’m not sure anyone ever says “how did RJ not go ahead of Zion.” Zion’s body of work leading up was too great. Anyone who says that is being completely revisionist which is B.S. RJ could end up as the greatest player of all time and Zion at 1 will be justifiable every time.
That being said, RJ is going to be amazing in the pros. I can’t wait to see what he can put together with Fizdale.
I feel the same about Cam Reddish. Not that he’s going to be the best player in this draft, but he will be a Top 5 player from this draft and will make a lot of people eat crow.
Once he becomes a consistent offensive shooter—to go along with his defensive intangibles—everyone and their momma are going to be like “wow! We would have never expected this! We were wrong about this kid! How did we miss this?”

I see a lot of Jayson Tatum similarities/qualities in Cameron Reddish. I personally think Reddish is going to have a heck of a Rookie Season.
Do they even make a hat that would fit over that mop that Coby White has on his head? lolAs an aside, The NBA and New Era need to either

Nickeil Alexander-Walker (NAW) will fit well around Zion. He's really just a great shooter and not much else, but will get plenty of great looks spotting up around Zion. (This past Duke team could have really used his services.)
Wasn't crazy about the Jaxson Hayes pick since the Pelicans could have taken Cam Reddish. But I get it...makes sense, Hayes is a rim-running/rim-protecting big and will allow Zion to play the 4 (go for steals, do crazy Zion things out on the perimeter.)
Wow! You stayed up late to see Little get drafted. I had to work today.
Reddish was quoted as saying he's playing better now because he's eating healthy. Don't they have a nutrition program at Duke? Although you can't stop a kid from eating fries at 10pm.
