Did we allow the Soviet Union to own and control major interests in Hollywood, American Corporations, and our educational system?

Did we allow Soviet Companies to do business here in America?

Did we allow American companies to do business in the Soviet Union with the catch that the CCCP control the corporations including intellectual property transfer?

Did we allow the Soviets to purchase and control major media entities in America?

The answer to those questions was no but for some reason yes when substituted for Communist China.

Lots of truth and I’d love a response.

No, it’s a cop out. It’s just another example of giving in to the whining left that is offended by every damned thing.

who really cares though? If anything it’s taking away the lefts ability to protest. I’m as far right as they come but it’s just a waste of time. It’s not the olympics.
if you’re in the bathroom taking a piss at a ball game and they start to play the anthem do you zip your little pecker up and turn to attention? Didn’t think so. It’s really not a big deal and helps the right IMO.

The Dallas Mavericks owner made a decision that is sure to bring howls of outrage, threats to boycott his team and an avalanche of vile and vicious emails. But it was the right decision, and I hope it gives others in professional and college sports the courage, or at least cover, to do the same.

The Mavericks are no longer playing the national anthem before home games. I don’t know the reasoning behind Cuban’s decision, and he’s declined to elaborate further, both to The Athletic, which first reported the absence of the anthem, and USA TODAY Sports.

But he hinted at it last summer, when he said he supported Mavericks players and coaches who were kneeling during the anthem to protest racial injustice following the killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and too many other Black men and women.

“The National Anthem Police in this country are out of control,” Cuban said on Twitter. “If you want to complain, complain to your boss and ask why they don’t play the National Anthem every day before you start work.”

He’s right. We don’t play The Star-Spangled Banner before concerts or movies. We don’t hear it at rec league soccer games or school plays. We don’t stand at attention and listen to it before we start our workdays.

I have always and will always despise the arrogant prick named Mark Cuban. Another 100 year old tradition trashed due to "woke" ********.

Fair enough.

I think it’s dumb to state that the ONLY country to enshrine freedom of speech, freedom to worship, and the right to bear arms in its founding document isn’t great.

I think it’s dumb to claim that the country that over 1 BILLION people worldwide would move to if allowed (per Gallop) isn’t great.

I think it’s dumb to claim that a country that sacrificed hundreds of thousands of its lives to end slavery, defeat Nazism, and fight communism isn’t great.

It’s dumb to say that the country that built the skyscrapers, first in flight, largest and wealthiest middle class, and countless other technological innovations isn’t great.

But you’re more into short and nonsubstantive replies so I can see why you would think that.

And you display that deep insecurity in our nation's psyche when "we aren't The Greatest Country in the History of the World (TM)" is twisted into "we aren't great and you don't appreciate our achievements."

Can you point us to a time before Kap that it was a mainstream issue? Should be pretty easy.
So because everyone was just behaving in the status quo and someone performed a profound protest that reached millions and sparked the discussion--that obviously got people thinking, it's now that they have no brains and are just being told what to think?

Not at all insecure about it. I said we have many flaws. I also asked your opinion on who is better and why. You dodged that one. Please discuss the reason for your opinion and give counter examples. Or are you out of talking points?

Regardless, it doesn’t appear you’re capable of discussion but instead here to stir the pot so unless you’ve got something substantive I’m going to move on.

I reject the premise that you can name a "greatest country" and assert that there is something very creepy and reflective of deep issues in our collective psyche that we need to have a "greatest country" competition.

The only reason we’re here is because the left is attempting to erase our history and rewrite our constitution as racist so as to remake as they see fit.

So, yeah, I’m going to defend our county, its constitution, and its history that is overall good and without equal.

So you CAN’T point to a time. Lending validity to his statement.

Funny, too, that you think people suddenly learned to think in the last 10 years. Did it occur to you that perhaps people have always wrestled with the questions of imperfection but were wise enough not to throw the baby out with the bath water by fragmenting the country because it wasn’t perfect?

This is you and your ilk, in a nutshell. Burning down the house we all live in together because it’s not perfect, and becoming indignant that some of us don’t like house fires.

I wasn't arguing there was a time before. I was arguing when information is provided to people, intelligent people will use that information to evaluate their personal views and can change their minds.

Y'all anthem huggers are weird as hell.

Lol. Lots of stuff there. Of course, it was all compiled by people who hate him. A critical thinker might notice this.

With so many at your disposal, pick the biggest. Which is it?
I mean, you can pretend that is true if you want, but many unbiased Republicans will tell you the same thing. Even many who voted for them. My father is about as conservative as they come, and even he admits the man is full of ****. He still voted for him though.

Ehh, several to choose from. The biggest would either be when he openly admitted lying to America about Covid-19. Or, when he created the election fraud hoax that led to the storming of the capitol. However, that can be subjective based on importance to the person considering it.

Ah, yes. “Intelligent” people will reject their country because of its’ past imperfections. Seems prudent.

Can you tell me how rejecting the anthem (since that is the topic of the thread) fixes anything?
How are they rejecting the anthem? They aren't saying to abolish it or change it, they are simply saying it is probably best for everyone to not perform it at Dallas Mavericks sporting events.

By your logic, if you don't play the anthem before every activity you partake, you are thus rejecting it.

It's more that this is a blatant thumbing of the nose to half the country. I personally am not affected by it. I go to one game a year more or less, and am usually 2 or 3 beers in before getting to my seats.

It could have just ended with letting players kneel and being done with it. This was a move to stick it to his enemies on the right side of the isle. I mean.. lol, they weren't even playing the anthem and no one noticed... so Mark Cuban had to make a press release. Pathetic move by the woke. It's not virtue signaling by the right, but by the left.

And if we really are committed to those ideals, we don't pat ourselves on our back about how great we are, we ask ourselves how we're failing and how we can better live up to those ideals we claim to adhere to.

Fair enough. But I’d ask again how destroying tradition causes us to live up to those ideals.

Statues, songs, books...I don’t believe you’re a fan of that trend. It never ends well.

I don’t understand how or why we can’t celebrate our country while also working to make it better. The two are not exclusive.

And it especially doesn’t sit well coming from the NBA, which has prostrated itself to the most evil regime on the planet.

Laugh it up, if the right didn't care bout the national anthem, this would have never become a thing 6 or 7 years ago. This was a "lets hit them where it hurts" type of children's move.

Lol. They are rejecting it. Not sure how you can think otherwise.

Also, that would only be my logic if it was already played at every activity and it was then rejected. Since it’s not, that doesn’t make much sense.

LOL. The media and so-called fact checkers are nothing more than the propaganda arm of the Dems. Anyone with a brain knows it.
Lol, I can see you have been drinking the Kool-aid in gallons.

Irregardless that wouldn't make their statements false. It's nothing more than fallacy of attacking the messenger instead of the message. Otherwise, which of the items on those lists is untrue?

You have an odd definition for rejection then. They aren't stopping you from playing the anthem on your phone before the game starts and standing for it on your own. You can even stand and sing it if you choose. So, it doesn't sound like a very good rejection.

Do you play the National Anthem before every activity you perform? Before a days work? When you watch a movie at home or im theaters? Do you play the anthem when other citizens come to your house? So, since we both know the answer is a no, are you thus rejecting the anthem? Keep in mind your statements already relies on the necessary assumption that you do.

It wasn't always played at those events though. So by your own criteria this wouldn't be a rejection.

Are you seeing your circular logic yet?

Many Christians are only Christian when it’s convenient for them. The second it doesn’t fit whatever their narrative is then Christ’s teachings are thrown out the door because they can just pray for forgiveness and all is good in their minds.

Just like the whole back the blue folks were all up in arms over how the police were being treated last sunmer then they murdered one and assaulted dozens of others on January 6at the Capitol.
I agree with you but those people aren’t Christians. Frauds and fakes

Lol. They aren’t playing it anymore at their arena. They rejected it.

The rest of what you wrote is nonsense.

It's raised awareness. It's a small thing that ruffled a lot of feathers and got people talking. Mission accomplished. Now lets fix the ****.

Read this slowly:
Progressivism, civil rights movement, anti-war movements...all ruffled feathers and got people talking. None of them went after the anthem. Jimi effing Hendrix played it at Woodstock!

This isn’t the same. See if you can figure out why.

They are mostly opinions on statements or events. That’s the problem.

Again, an obvious lie should be easy to point out.

Like promising $2000. Or saying you won’t shut down fracking. Or saying you won’t rule by decree with EOs. These are obvious lies.

Get it?
