down goes Tatum and the Celtics....and the Mavs with the number one pick ? interesting. I still think Golden State needs to prove they can beat Minnesota (Randle) without Curry .... Randle has been playing some amazing basketball.

... and I could've used to NOT see coach rick pitino high fiving sidelines at the Knicks win, but I'm happy for them and Towns. Knicks are looking great this year. They can finish off these Celtics.

My money is still on MVP SGA

Remember when Paul Pierce got wheelchair'd off the court in tears? Turned out he had only **** himself.

But yeah that looks like an Achilles. His ankle didn't bend or anything like that. That sucks. Any chance of a repeat is over and an Achilles keeps him out for most of next year too.

Heck, thats a career-ender in the NBA. That's the alst injury you want to have in almost any sport, but especially in the NBA.

That was my only other thought.. maybe foot fracture.. but doesn't seem like a knee or an ankle.

Jaylen "Turnover" Brown is gonna have nightmares about dick-fingering this routine pass that ended up killing Tatum a second later.

I know its at the bottom of importance right now.. but somewhere out there, theres a fantasy basketball league that's still going, probably in the finals.. and some guy just lost Jason Tatum for the year in the first game of the week, at the most awful and unlucky time. I've had seasons go south.. but this would be the ultimate gut punch.

Tatum was my 1st round pick in a fantasy basketball league this year. Thankfully the season's playoffs concluded at the end of the regular season for me. People in keeper league that have him are sick to their stomach.

Oh god, didnt even think of keepers. We will see what the diagnosis is tomorrow, but the telling sign was him crying in a way that told you HE knew how bad it was. That didnt even seem so much due to pain as it was a realization of the injury severity. I got a sense get won't be back to 100% for well beyond next season.

Theres always a few dummies out there lol. Honestly it probably is all done by now, but im always surprised to see how long leagues will go. Theres definitely lots that only ended a few weeks ago.
I subscribe to Sports Ethos on YouTube throughout the year for fantasy basketball talk. The old NBA TV guy Rick Kamla runs the show. They are still making videos daily about fantasy basketball, but they branch off into the daily fantasy basketball on Fan Duel and Draft Kings.

The playoffs have been great but the Curry and Tatum injuries kept both those series from potential Game 7s, which sucks. Boston could win Game 5 at home but Minnesota should close out Golden State later this week.

A Finals matchup with the Knicks and T-Wolves with KAT and Randle against their former teams would be pretty interesting. That's what I'm hoping for at this point. I wouldn't be upset with either of those teams winning a title. And some former Cats would get rings.

The Curry injury is the far bigger “what if”. The Knicks were gonna win tonight regardless. They already had the big 4th quarter lead and were rolling to a 3-1 series lead at the time Tatum got hurt. It’s highly doubtful that injury changed the outcome of the series.

Whereas the Curry injury TOTALLY changed the direction of the other series. In the blink of an eye that series switched from being controlled by the Warriors to the Wolves.

Agree on Curry and the Knicks winning tonight. But I wouldn't have been surprised at all if they gagged Game 6 at the Garden then lost Game 7 in Boston. I thought the Celtics' 3-point shooting in the first two games was a bit of a fluke. They're favored in Game 5, but who knows what the emotion from Tatum's injury will do.

I'm glad they're on the brink of elimination, although I feel bad for Tatum. He seems like a good dude and he's a stud on the court.

Tatum injury looked bad. Feel bad cause this is the last year that team will be together. Too expensive after this year.

He was crushing in that game too. I doubt they win now but they would have IMO. They shoot so well most night teams can’t beat them. They have lost 2 20+ point leads and that was kinda fluky itself. Glad the Knicks and Towns probably move on to the finals but it sucks for Boston. That team was really amazing.

David Stern is smiling up from hell the way this draft was rigged. The NBA didn't want the Golden Boy rotting away in Charlotte or Washington, or being on a west team like Utah that plays games at 9 or 10 p.m. EST and is never on national TV. I don't see Dallas as a great situation either though. AD has a lot of wear and tear on his body and Kyrie will be coming off an ACL tear and he's no spring chicken either.

It'll be really interesting to see what the Spurs do. Another PG isn't a need with Fox and Castle, and Dylan Harper is a ball-dominant guy. There's been a lot of smoke they'll be involved with Giannis. But the Spurs don't seem like the type of organization that'll pay a king's ransom for a guy that's 30 years old. I think they'll end up packaging the No. 2 pick and get another superstar one way or the other though.
Kyrie is worse than AD when it comes to availability. He averages 55 games a season, AD 60. He just tore an ACL and has been out for every leg injury known. He's older too.

I hate Boston so hope the Knicks finish them off asap. I feel for Tatum though and hope its not too bad an injury.

NBA at this point praying the Knicks make the NBA Finals for ratings. Don't think the pacers are a big draw.

I'm not sure what ratings Minnesota or okc bring in. Or even Denver.

Celtics with the #1 overall pick in 2027, despite just missing the playoffs with a 35-win record.

Darius Garland called out Tyler Herro only for him to come up small in the playoffs again .

Donovan Mitchell could use a new backcourt running mate .

Hard to believe Cleveland was the 1 seed and Indiana the 4 seed in that series.

It really doesn’t even feel like an upset now, because it looked like the Pacers were simply the clearly better team.
