The Summer League starts tonight. Justin Edwards will be in action with the 76ers at 9 PM against the Jazz on ESPN. No Brea, Williams, Carr, Butler or Robinson yet.

At the moment, the only teams going are those above that are in the California Classic and Salt Lake City Summer. Starting on July 10-20, we will get to see our guys from last season's team in the NBA 2K26 Summer League.
Fans are waiting to see how they do for sure. We always want ex players to do well and they always do DO well so there must be something to that!!

despite the repeated sprite incidents edwards was a decent player once we got into league play

Reed Sheppard on now. Can probably only watch a few min before going to bed, but gonna tape it.
The rest of the Rockets team is so putrid that its going to make it very tough for Reed to have an efficient game. They're missing shots that would be assists for him, look like they've never played before, driving into no mans land. Felt like he was playing with 4 power forwards.
Finishes the 1st quarter with 7pts leading Houston, but on 9 shots. A block and a steal in there. Missed some free throws.

Kobe Brea and him played very well. Both will be very good pros IMO. If Amari ever develops any semblance of a post game or touch he will be tough.
Reed looks ready for a role this year. With the trade for Durant some minutes should open up. There is a reason they said Shep was untouchable. I think they know what they have.
I think he plays a long time. He’s so pure, great size, and he showed play making and a surprising defensive game late in the year. He’s a steal.
Reed led his team in rebounds and tied for blocks.. as a point guard. He also led in points, steals, and assists. That tells you what he was working with.
If he can just have this confidence for the actual NBA season hes gonna be great. And if he can at least match the efficiency if Jalen Green (he wont produce more), while adding Kevin Durant.. watch out for Houston. I might take their roster over OKC.

Backup PG. But hes also going to have to slide over to the 2guard, maybe even for thenmost of his minutes.. Houston will have Amen and FVV for the point.
You can’t really gather anything from the summer league.
Most of these guys will never play in the NBA.
Brea has a chance only because shooting is a premium in today’s NBA.
And he can shoot!!
His problem is he does nothing else at an NBA level.
My guess is he doesn’t make a roster.

Saw where Lil Flagg had a better game today.
Shep should have his chance this coming season. Houston is gonna be one of the west favorites.
