Rondo might be more hungry for another ring than AD for a first ring.I mean the guy is freaking impacting a game like a John Stockton era guard.Go Rondo!! LOL
Get Rajon in the Hall of Fame. Not sure he’ll get in, but he’s objectively one of the best passers (arguably the best passer) to play the game.

I like Murray and I want him to be a star, but I'm pulling for the Lakers and the only reason is Rondo.
I've always liked the guy. I know he's a butthole sometimes, but he has always grabbed my attention on the floor. He plays hard, gets locked in and damn, he can pass the ball with great accuracy. If he could shoot, he would be damn near unguardable.

If rondo could shoot he would be one of the best guards to ever play the game. He has pretty much everything else. Couldn’t really stop the guy......if he could shoot.....

Watching 4th quarter was hard. Nuggets made some boneheaded mistakes, and refs bailed out LBJ numerous times on both ends. Couple of the calls that went in Lakers way were comical.

I agree he isn’t that good of a shooter, but what surprised me is that he has shot over 30% from 3 he last 5 or so seasons. He makes less than 1 per game normally, and he needs time to square his shot, but he’s developed the ability to keep defenses honest with the threat of a 3.

Edit: it’s the last 6 seasons, and he shot over 35% in 4 of them. He clearly worked on his shot after leaving Boston.

I wonder if either the Heat or Lakers can finish off their opponent in game 5. I tend to think the Lakers have the better chance of doing so as I know they know that if they screw around and lose game 5 the chatter about another 3-1 comeback will start. I said before the series if the Lakers got up 3-1 it would be over in 5. I will stick with that although I have been impressed by the Nuggets the last 3 games. After game 1 it looked like it might be a sweep.

And for all the "bailouts" for Lebron no one said a thing when he got only 10 FTs combined in 3 games before last night even though he is aggressive and attacks the rim. It's a joke he only got 10 FTs in 3 games the way he plays so last night was more of how it should be. The Lakers have the best two players left in the playoffs so of course they are going to get to the line and "get calls" because they go inside a lot IMO. I look forward to the bitching and moaning on this board if it is Lakers vs. Heat as I know the Lakers will not win the series, but rather the refs will give it to them. It will have nothing to do with them being the superior team overall if they win it all for most on this board.

My first introduction to rondo was watching him drop 50 on my high school Alma mater when he played for Eastern. I think he was a junior. People thought that eastern team was stacked but really it was rondo making everyone else look better. Best player to come out of Louisville since Allan Houston.

He’s one of my favorites as well. Him and Sparks were so much fun to watch.

Said something like they shouldn't call Tyler "I'm a bucket" until he averages 20 a game during regular season. He's a pos.

What happened. Is he mad about everyone gushing over the Heat?

Jay Williams was showing a Tyler highlight breakdown video and was talking him up and Paul just came off bitter cuz he wanted a bigger sample size from Herro before naming him the bucket and said the no crowd being there being an empty gym was easier. Paul did say he would draft Tyler top 5 if they redid the draft then they started talking about college but I missed that part and just caught the end with Jay asking him whens the last time KU won a title haha

His choice of words and delivery just sounded bitter...Jalen n Jay was giving him a hard time calling Paul “the old man and get off his lawn” haha

I didn’t think Pierce’s comments sounded bitter. He was just coming at it from a different angle. He was also saying he wonders how these playoffs might be different if the games were being played not in a bubble, but in hostile environments. Which is a legitimate question. Now, we all know from watching Tyler play in college he thrives going into hostile environments and likes when the crowd is against him. But for someone who might not have seen as much of that, it’s a legitimate question.

When Tyler said "I'm a bucket" at UK, I don't recall anybody pety enough to say that he needs to earn that nickname.

That was at Kentucky in an SEC game. Just wasn’t on that kind of radar. Pierce is talking NBA here. It’s just a different world. Pierce is an all-timer saying a rookie needs to keep it up to earn his stripes. Relax.

It’s a legit question. For example, no way Denver makes a comeback from 3-1 against the Clippers if they have to win twice in LA.

As good as Miami has been, no way do they roll through Milwaukee if they have to start out actually playing on the road.

Seeing the way these guys in Miami have rallied around Jimmy Butler’s toughness and leadership (Herro specifically) does make me question a little bit of the mental toughness of some of the guys in Jimmy’s previous stops. Specifically Minnesota.

Exactly! I’m not saying Tyler wouldn’t be great in these playoffs either way, but Pierce makes a good (and obvious) point.

I can't understand neither him nor Rondo starting. There's no doubt that both teams are at their best with Rondo and Tyler in the game.

If Herro's nickname was "Rainmaker" instead of "..bucket", would Paul Pierce be telling us that we shouldn't be calling him "Rainmaker", because you know, he really can't make it rain?

not me. Butler’s been terrific here. And I don’t blame him for being mad that minnesota sucked. But he acted like an ***. I think a lot of it was orchestrated though just so he could get the hell out of there.
