In the NBA, yes a well rounded game is desired, but most people stick in the league because they're really, really damn good at one thing. Cal is great at getting guys to showcase that one thing that will be their ticket.

I'd counter Billups by saying that Cal stresses to share the ball so Bam had the right mindset coming in.

This is a great point. Cal always talks about that one of the challenges about recruiting the kids he does is that all these guys are used to being the alpha on their team. Suddenly their on a team full of guys who were all used to being top dog so he has to really press the importance of passing the ball.

Yep. Has to be within the last 20-25 years. Lebron? I mean, so many great players were with bad organizations early on, because of drafting.. but still, he did it.. and its something I really think maybe only 1 or 2 others accompolished.

Herro is lighting them up. It’s either him or Bam that makes huge plays for the Heat, with a bit of Butler mixed in.

It would be awesome if they would throw some credit at Cal and/or UK in some of their post game interviews though. Any recruiting help would be awesome.
