I got this today and overall its a pretty good game, Black Unis rock, andgood to finally be able to control a decent Miss St team. However, Relf and especially Favre are very underrated and U Miss is on the opening video 3 times. Also, they have advertised about how they have made the gameday experience closer to teams actual traditions, but for us they have nothing we do, they even had us running out of a tunnel with fans on each side which we dont have.

Good gameplay I just wish it was more accurate.....</p>

Zone defense is improved. It's a lot harder to pass on the game. With that said, I dunno what the original poster is talking about Relf being underrated. He's 88overall and he's only missed one throw he should have made for me. He's pretty solid. Addison Lawrence is 91overall and he misses blocks alot. I think the pass rush is alot better for the CPU My pass rush, when I'm actually the DE, is awful. I suck at it. I usually play with the safety anyway. I think it's a great game overall. They messed up on some players of course, but that's expected. You can edit the player classifications if you want to make it more realistic. I did it to about 5 or 6 players, so my roster for MSU is pretty spot on. Only players missing I really wish we had is Marcus Green and Arceto Clark. Also, Nick Bell is still in the game.

when the OperationSports community rosters are done. They'll have accurate names for all 120 teams, complete with transfers, dismissals, etc., and reratings.

On the negative side:
Severalbread and butter plays still seem to workagainst the CPU.
The CPU defensive line still has mad pass knockdown skills.
Several of State's ratings as a school are still dumb. USF still has more television exposure than us...really, EA?
The % interested for a recruit was a nice change....but it doesn't show up on your target list. New feature fail.
The recruit search is still a waste of time if you want to use more than one parameter.
Recruits who sign elsewhere now drop off your target list....no easy way to see who beat you out, which I thought added to the realism.
The cut scene/background graphics are iffy at best. Who decided to put the cut off ESPN fan sign on there?
Screens load even slower than last year's.
Lack of gameday additions for State....we got the generic 75mm cannon.
They didn't even redo the generic game opening sequence, but made some minor adjustments, one of which resulted in a stupid flashing effect on one guy's helmet. Yeah, I know it's a little thing, but it's a sign of shabby work.
UM was notably present in the opening credits. I don't think any other losing team was shown more than once. New developer on staff?
EA couldn't even be bothered tocome up with a new sequence for their portion of the opening.
They changed the way you switch play callsfrom thehorizontal axisto vertical. Definitely change just for change's sake.
The arrow pad no longer adjusts your defensive player's position. No idea why they took that out.

The positives:
Defensive intelligenceis better. Zone coverage doesn't get busted deep nearly as easily, passes to the flat aren't a 90% sure thing, etc. But it's not perfect. The CPU will routinely complete 3rd down passes into an area that should be covered while your blitz struggles at the line. CPU runners will still slowly meander through an offensive line "bubble" while your defenders futilely work around the edges. Etc.
Tackling is better.

Still to be checked:
I've read that you still can't change your audibles. Haven't looked.
Top recruits going unsigned when their favorite school recruits them all season butnever offers.

-I really like coaching carousel addition.<div>-RTG revamped</div><div>-O-Line and D-Line interaction is MUCH MUCH better. Much easier to murder Memphis Guards/Center with Cox/Boyd. Was in the backfield all day with them.</div><div>-Running is much better. No moresuctiontackling. You can actually hit holes without a D-line tackling you if you get to close to him</div>

did you play on against Memphis? I had the same issues as last year getting DL penetration playing against UM on AA; successful penetration seemed almost random.

Looks like the best thing to do is to blitz on the outside. Nickel man or cover two shift the lineman to the strong side and man blitz the nlb, then user the opp de to cover a slant across the middle. This works a well, especially online when ppl slant the slot wr on the blitz side. My gamertag is s0m ting w0ng (zeros) gl guys

If Ballard and our secondary are as good as EA thinks they are this will be a fun year. I'm running all over everybody with Ballard. Our throwing is meh, but some of our receivers are really good.I may just be noticing the improved pass defense. It's a LOT harder to get passes over the middle now. On the plus side screens actually work now so that's a fun new element.

</div><div>I took the pastapadre rosters and edited the MSU rosters. There were several players not on the team anymore, so I made the changes. Moved Carmon to LT, etc. These should hold us over until the OS community rosters are done.</div>

And the new tackling system really helps runners momentum. Which means run, run, and run some more. Just had a good run game with MSU's playbook against Ole Miss on AA. First half i ran 50/50 run/pass and couldn't get a whole lot going. 2nd half was probably 75/25 run/pass and couldn't be stopped. When ballard got tired i put perk in and ran counters and draws. Had very little success with just QB reads even when I read the DE correctly. Most of my good runs came from formations with the FB in or 2 HBs.

user controlling the DL and I can't run for **** with Relf. He prolly has negative yardage on the season for me. Perkins and Ballard are ballers. I don't have any trouble passing with Relf, but it's rare I have an avenue in which to run with Relf. I get sacked a lot too. Maybe Relf has a slow release? However, he is hitting all the passes.<div>

</div><div>My gamertag is STARKlLLE btw with the "I" being a lower case "L." It was already taken I guess?</div>

Just like a real game you have to stick with it. Look to see if they are coming in to stop the off tackle and if they are do a sweep toss. Not sure the play name but the one with the RB lined up like a TE and then takes the handoff from motion into a sweep is awesome too. If they start coming in kill them with some play action and every now and then you gotta lauch one long just to back them off.

I'm playing a dynasty and Ballard is now a Heisman contender thanks to a 5 TD, 174 yard game against LSU. maybe it's just me but I find controlling the RB much easier that in the past too.

I was state vs miami I hit Bumphis on a streak with 32 ticks left to win 21-14. I used the bulldog heavy formation a lot and mixed it up. The guy had no idea what was comin, Bumphis was one on one with the cb and flat out our ran the guy.

Made some changes:
Charles Bailey into Marcus Green
James Carmon to LT
D.J. Looney into one of the freshman OL
Nick Bell into Brandon Maye (he was an 88 overall on 2011)....hesitated on altering Nick at all
Mike Hunt into Darius Slay

I think that was all the personnel swaps. I did adjust some ratings. Not all upwards, either.

*Edit: Turned Justin Cox into one of the other incoming frosh.

That used to really piss me off. Does that still happen? Either way, after reading your feedback I'm not willing to part with $60 for this. Think I will stick to Bill Walsh College Football on Sega Genesis.

I like it. Zone is so much better and so is the running game. State has a pretty good rating on it to. Relf is wayunderratedtho, and Ballards injury rating isnt that good so he gets hurtoften. Black unis are great, entrance is blandagain. Everything Tenn does running out is what we do but they dont have it for us. They show Tenns dog and Georgias dog but not ours. The maroon on the field is to light. But the oddest thing of all is that my last name is Powell, and when imconnectedto the EA server i cannot but Powell for a name of a coach or a player because its "Profane Text". I had no clue that that has become a cuss word. Butgame playwise, its great.
