ahhhh law, a profession basically made up by modern society that is 90% propped up by arbitrary lawsuits where lawyers argue against each other for payment with no obvious benefit to society in the least.

I’m a lawyer and totally agree with you . China produces eight times more engineers than USA per year . Even more English speaking engineers. too much of our best talent goes into law. One of many reasons it is now certain China will surpass us as the Worlds superpower.
Best we can hope for is to survive and kind of be like Great Britain. Our generation really dropped the ball .

The legal system in this country is broken. Stupid money and trials take way too long. We are supposed to have the right to a speedy trial but they bankrupt you because they keep you in a trial for years and years. The cost of an attorney is stupid.

I forget which thread the lawyer admitted that the problem with America was too many people entering the law field versus the engineering field. Too many people entered the law field without enough law jobs to go around so they had to create business. That created the personal injury lawyer. #3 on my list of things to destroy society since I've been born.
