I'm sure some of yall have seen this but in case you haven't the NCAA has voted to change the definition of a prospect in basketball from a ninth grader to a seventh grader. Obviously a lot of coaches recruit players younger than ninth grade and the NCAA doesn't have any regulation over it. I don't know what this means for the future of recruiting, possibly nothing, but I just think it's ridiculous to even entertain the thought of trying to persuade a 13 year old kid to come play for you five years down the road. I guess college coaches disagree.

The article also goes on to say that the NCAA is thinking about voting for a shorter period an underclassman has to decide whether or not to stay in the NBA draft. I would say I agree with this even though I know that it's a big decision, two months is too long and it's not fair to the other teammates.
