Not sure what that has to do with this game. It's still Texas A&M vs. Louisiana Tech.
You've now posted twice under the pretense A&M is some traditional powerhouse that rolls over midmajor teams, nevermind that La Tech will be one of the 5 best non-bcs teams in the country this year.
It matters because I pointed out that La Tech has been better against SEC competition over the past 15 years than A&M has been, especially in the season that's most relevant...Last year.
You'd be better served to try and find stats of first year SEC coaches that lost to lower tier teams in their first year, and the circumstances therein.
Less relevant than my previous paragraphs. But ok, I'll bite. Listed SEC coaches that lost to a non-bcs team in year 1(since 1990):
ALABAMA:
Nick Saban(ULM)
Mike Shula(Northern Illinois and Hawaii)
Mike Dubose(
La Tech)
Gene Stallings(Louisville*at the time)
ARKANSAS:
Danny Ford(Memphis)
LSU:
Nick Saban(UAB)
OLEMISS:
Ed Orgeron(Wyoming)
MSU:
Dan Mullen(Houston)
Sly Croom(Maine and UAB)
Jackie Sherrill(Memphis and Air Force)
TEXAS A&M:
Mike Sherman(Arkansas St)
GEORGIA:
Jim Donnan(Southern Miss)
KENTUCKY:
Guy Morriss(Louisville)
MISSOURI:
Gary Pinkle(Bowling Green)
Larry Smith(Tulsa)
SOUTHCAROLINA:
Lou Holtz(East Carolina)
Brad Scott(East Carolina)
VANDERBILT:
Bobby Johnson(Middle Tenn St)
Rod Dowhower(TCU)
So, it's only got precedence for happening 19 times for new HC's in the previous 21 years. Super rare**
A&M may only beat them by a 10 points and it can still be a good game.
A&M will NOT beat them by 10 points, nor will they score 35 on them. It will go a good game in the high 20s/low 30s. A&M had one of the worst defenses in all CFB last year. Literally on OM's level...
