When you get 5+ transfers every off season from schools from all over, kids that don't even need to transfer to get D1 offers, they just do it for reasons unknown. Of course they are going to be #1 in the state. Grimsley is better than East Forsyth, hands down, its not even close.
I totally understand ! I guess its good for PR. They got the 3 headed monster over there. They have 7 total sacks COMBINED.... They got that 5 star kid who doesnt have 5 star numbers ! ... That DT at East is really good & he dont have any stars ! But I did see where he was top 5 at FBU nationals in Naples,FL ! They said he won Nextgen Nationals Trench King . Im headed to Tabor tomorrow to check him out . Dont East have a kid that had 22 sacks last year ?
I think that year Grimsley won it ! East had 7 D-1 guys graduate early I been hearing .. East was coming off of Back to Back chips , Any truth to that ...

They are not better than East forsyth. The key to beating Grimsley is by having 2 solid corners who can take away their two wideouts. East can obviously do that because they shutdown Rolesville wrs which are better than the two Grimsley has. They have yet to face a team that can match up with them yet that’s all that is. This team isn’t even better than the team that had last year and they didn’t make it out the second round. If they play I will bet the house East wins.
He’s not a 5 star DT! There’s only about 35 5 stars nationally and he’s ranked 28th at his position alone which puts him outside the top 150. I definitely agree with you though as far as the lack of productivity on the field though. When you are 6’5 340-350 anyone can get recruited by top schools even if you aren’t that good. Some of the most productive high school players are not always the ones who are highly recruited.
I got East winning too . They have good Sr leadership at all key positions on the field on defensive . That D Coordinator is good he gives you different looks . Interesting to see if they will meet in the playoffs . I like the chance East took early in the season testing themselves against Rolesville now that was a Statement Game . Not playing a NW team that cant compete . So see both teams making it to the playoffs but the coaching at East takes to me is just different they have no 4 or 5 star kids just GRINDERS..... Ill check Grimsley out next week

Everyone was mad at Northern Guilford because the Nighthawks were winning. As scrutinized as Mister Roscoe's teams were, don't you think if there was a blatant foul the Guilford County Schools, which at the time was led by a former Meck County superintendent, would have busted their nuts ? Damn right they would have and would have basked in the sun after doing so.

No, it’s not even better than last years team that didn’t make it out the second round and went 11-1. They just won’t play anyone in the regular season that can possibly beat them.
The difference was Northern has always had really good coaching. The Jv is looking really good right now at 6-0 so the future is bright.

He had ties to Keenan Allen, Gabe King, Christian McCain, Maurice Harris, the list of high profile transfers from schools he was at previously goes on and on. "Coach O" might ring a bell. The basketball program was vacated championships, the football program I guess was able to hide the stench better. Everyone used to call them The Northern Cheetahs.

In 95% or Northern's games, they were outweighed on the OL and DL , sometimes by a hundred plus pounds a man, but Northern's defense flew to the ball every play .
