The # 8 is not a poll ! so will it be 5 next year ?
I have never seen a poll with less than 10. What motive would someone have for this ? This is leaving at least 2 schools across North Carolina out of your poll.
3 are from the East and 3 from SMC and 1 other Mountain team, so you see you don't see and deserving teams between the western mountains and the eastern part of the state ? And this is not about Mount Airy because I see them as at least a #12 but only 8 is an unrealistic poll. I for one never liked it from the start because I think 2 other teams should be added. The far west is deserving as is the eastern teams, but this is unfair to a few deserving schools that NCPrep in not recognizing because who has ever seen a poll with only 8 teams ? AS I said the SMC & Mitchell are deserving but others are also.
Just my opinion and maybe others that are afraid to speak up as I have, only for fairness. And again this is not about Mount Airy because they will lose at least one more game. Sorry Deana but I for one had to speak my piece about something that doesn't look like any poll I have ever seen. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and this is just mine as no one else had spoken up if they were wondering why just 8 teams this year was deserving of a spot in NCPreps poll.

I saw that and still don't think it is a true and fair poll. Of coarse the half of it up your way will have no problem with it but something different could have been her top 10 or15 and not overlooking other deserving teams . I have always liked her Bakers Dozen as it was like a true poll. Nothing against you BK13. Good to see your Knights competitive this year.

Hell no and I put my thoughts on Mount Airy in that post. MA will have at least 3 loses at the end of the regular season and I know it is a rebuilding year for MA with only 8 seniors. A poll with 8 is an unfair poll. I am sure others feel the same way but afraid to speak up. MaxPrep & CPrep have a top 25 just like the college polls. top 8 ?????
I knew when I posted a truth that some in that top 8 in the west would make this about me and not the truth of my post even though I said they deserved to be there. That post was about a few teams that should be a part of NCPreps poll but left out because it only had 8 teams.

I usually agree with some of your thoughts TD, but this is a little ridiculous! Who cares if there is 8 or 88 it is her poll and she can do what she wants. I always liked the Baker’s dozen polls as well. If teams want to be in it then get better and prove themselves worthy!! Also what truth are you talking about it is your opinion, not a fact. Your own feelings towards something doesn’t make it a fact.

Well, Deana, all those Mountain teams in your top 8 have your back but what do several other conferences that have teams that deserve to be at least a top 10 team of NCPrep's poll think ? Funny, I have always pulled for the SMC unless they were playing a team in this area.Pulled for Cherokee in small 1A year before last and Murphy last year. No one can say I have ever put an SMC team down. I even pulled for BK to be brought back when banned. Now even though I said they all deserved the spot they have and it is those 4 Mtn. teams that are beating me down for my opinion. I see some of y;all posting something stupid at times also. I stick with my point of view ! !

TD, no one is beating you down. Just take a second to think about what you are saying. You're wanting equal geographical representation in an 8 team poll even though it is probably not deserved. Polk County, Mt. Airy, and Elkin are the MaxPrep ranked teams (either adjusted or not) that aren't in the 8 team NCPrep poll. All three are western teams. There probably isn't another eastern team with an argument to be in Top 8. Could the poll be larger? It could be whatever number Deana wants it to be ... 8, 10, 12, 13, 15, 20. At the end of the day, polls aren't about teams' feelings. Win big games and teams will be recognized for their achievement. I would put more stock in your argument if I thought you'd be making it even if Mt. Airy was in her Top 8. Carry on my friend. You are entitled to your opinion.

You lost me at "deserve". What has Mt. Airy done this year to "deserve" to be in the top 8? Where is your top 8 so we can see where you would rank the deserving teams?

Expanding a poll just because you think your team deserves the recognition is absolutely ridiculous.

Polls don’t mean crap. It is good for us posters to argue about, but playoffs and final poll is all that matters. I am fine with this poll and my team is not in it for 2A. If we take care of business for remainder of year we may get back in. If we do not then we have to get in by progressing through the playoffs. Just take a deep breath and all will play out in the end.

ROFLMAO. Now I think that she would have said that herself. Did she do anything special for Coach Price that lasted the whole season ? I was a Bear fan before you were born and you used my scores when I was doing them and now you get involved and turn on me. As long as I did the scores you never went against a Bear Fan and stayed out of anything I said. I will get my Bear scores from where I get all the others unless WIFM 109 is covering the game. Really surprised at you bareman. I will never stand up for another Bear fan that that turns on me.

I never once said either of those should be in a Bakers Dozen poll. I saw only one person that read and liked it and I respect them more than anyone that has posted on this thread. I made it clear in my posts that it was not the Bears that should be part of a top 10 or Bakers Dozen poll. Some of you are just going off what others say and ignored my first post, the 3rd post on this thread. There are better teams than Mount Airy or Elkin that can be part of a top 10 or Bakers Dozen. Too many trying to get their 2 cents worth dragging me through the mud for my right to post my opinion, Read my posts in full and don't go on what others are saying.

As long as I did the scores you never went against a Bear Fan and stayed out of anything I said. Really surprised at you bareman. I will never stand up for another Bear fan that that turns on me. This post has been Edited because I said something true I should not have said when the above post made me really mad. I stopped posting last night and wasn't going to say anything else but kept seeing people saying things that I had not said and then a bear fan chimed in. Good Luck and go Bears !
